Upgrade your rack with the Middle Atlantic Vent Panel, engineered for reliable, low-maintenance cooling in demanding environments. This vent panel is designed to accommodate top-mounted cooling options that fit 4-1/2" fans, as well as low-profile 6" or 10" fans, delivering flexible active thermal management for high-density equipment. The vented pagoda tops are designed to maintain enclosure temperatures through natural convection while minimizing the amount of dust and debris that can fall into the rack, and they add 1-1/2" to the top of the rack. Built to integrate with standard 19" racks, the vent panel features solid, slot pattern construction that blends with other components in the Middle Atlantic family, ensuring a clean, professional appearance. The combination of adjustable airflows and a top-cover design helps keep critical electronics cool, stable, and performing at their best. Whether you’re outfitting a data center, broadcast installation, or staging area for AV gear, this vent panel provides a straightforward path to improved airflow without sacrificing rack real estate. By enabling natural convection while still offering targeted cooling through fans, it strikes a balance between energy efficiency and temperature control. In addition to cooling performance, the vent panel contributes to a quieter environment by directing airflow efficiently and reducing turbulence inside the enclosure, which can help extend the life of equipment and reduce wear on cooling components. For system integrators and technicians, the vent panel offers a practical, scalable solution that fits seamlessly into existing rack configurations, supporting a range of configurations and future upgrades while maintaining a streamlined, professional rack aesthetics.

  • Top options accept 4-1/2", low-profile 6" or 10" fans for active thermal management.
  • Vented pagoda tops maintain enclosure temperatures through natural convection while minimizing the amount of dust and debris that can fall into the rack, and adds 1-1/2" to the top of the rack.
  • Solid, slot pattern construction provides durable, long-lasting support and effective airflow within standard racks.
  • Designed to integrate with standard 19" rack systems for easy retrofits and upgrades without altering existing layouts.
  • Balances cooling performance with rack footprint, enabling flexible placement and configuration in data centers, broadcast suites, and AV installations.

How to Install Middle Atlantic Vent Panel

Installing the Middle Atlantic Vent Panel is a straightforward process designed for quick deployment in standard rack environments. Begin by power-down of all equipment housed in the rack and disconnect any active devices to ensure safety during installation. Inspect the top area of the rack to determine the appropriate mounting location for the vent panel and identify the fan configuration you will use. If you are adding a 4-1/2" top fan, ensure you have the correct mounting brackets and fasteners recommended for your rack model. For low-profile 6" or 10" fans, verify that there is sufficient clearance and that the airflow path remains unobstructed by cables or accessories. Attach the vent panel to the rack's top opening according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, using the supplied hardware and ensuring the panel sits flush and level. Securely fasten the panel to the rack rails and verify that the vent openings are aligned with the fan intake area, if applicable. After installation, reconnect power to the rack equipment and power on the cooling fans, if configured. Monitor the system temperatures to verify that airflow is optimized and that there is no restricted airflow caused by cabling or neighboring equipment. If needed, adjust the fan speed or orientation to fine-tune cooling performance. Regularly inspect the vent panel during maintenance cycles to ensure dust remains minimized and airflow remains unobstructed. This approach helps sustain reliable cooling, prolong equipment life, and maintain consistent performance across your rack environment.

Timex Expedition Solar a no frills fine watch
Color: Brown/Blue
The watch came uncharged. I guess you're supposed to charge the watch by exposing it to sunlight. There was no sunlight and I wasn't about to wait for any. I placed it in front of one of my ultra-bright led flashlights for about 5 hours that night. It's been working fine ever since. I'll expose it to sunlight when I see some. It's a nice looking watch, no bells and whistles but it's been keeping excellent time. I swapped out the band for a NATO which I find more dependable. The price shouldn't put you in the poor house and if it's like all the other Timex watches I've owned, I'll be happy with it.

Great watch. Janky quartz. Bad strap.
Color: Brown
It’s got all the specs one could want in a field watch, but I can’t get over the janky quartz movement. The second hand overshoots and undershoots the second markers notably throughout its rotation. Also, the leather strap provided does not age well, it turns a dark brown and develops cracks in short order. Still, especially if nabbed on sale, the watch is well worth it and will probably outlive the wearer.

A nice durable non flashy field watch.
Color: Olive/Gunmetal, Color: Olive/Gunmetal
A nice looking, none flashy field watch. At 41mm it’s not too big and not too small. The sapphire crystal is a big plus on scratch resistance; and the screw in crown is a nice addition as well. If you’re looking for a low key, reliable solar powered field watch that is both comfortable, affordable and has durability built into it, this one will be hard to beat.

Keeps lousy time
Color: Silver-Tone/Black
I purchased this watch off Amazon Warehouse well below MSRP out of curiosity to see what Timex is doing in 2024. The specs are good - bead blasted stainless case, solar movement with quick set date and hacking, sapphire crystal, screwdown crown and 100m water resistance. The movement is Japanese, case and bracelet are made in China, and the watch is assembled somewhere overseas. The good - the watch is lightweight and comfortable on the wrist. Price, even at full MSRP makes this an extremely good value for what you get. It is a good looking Flieger style watch. Once fully charged it is keeping good time. Case finish is well executed and without rough or sharp edges. The bad - the lume is weak. When blasted with UV, it fades quickly and within 5 minutes it’s gone. The bracelet is low end, but expected at this price point. I swapped it out with a nice leather strap from my collection with better quality spring bars and it makes the watch look and feel higher end. The Ugly - the second hand misses nearly all the chapter ring marks. The minute and hour hands are aligned, but that second hand seems to have a mind of its own. On my watch it lines up with chapter ring marks maybe 10% of the time, but it’s not consistent. Sum up, for a sub $200 watch the specs are great and it’s a good looking comfortable watch. Just keep your expectations aligned with what you are paying for. It compares favorably to Orients & Citizens at this price, and offers better value than comparable competitors now that Seiko has gone upmarket. I like this watch. Just don’t compare it to a Swiss watch costing several times its price. Update after a few months: I’m changing my rating to 3 stars. This watch keeps lousy time! It is loosing around 5 minutes per month. And it is fully charged. I have other Solar quartz watches from Citizen, Seiko and Vaer which maintain very good accuracy. But this Timex … defeats the purpose of a solar powered “grab and go” watch when you have to correct the time each occurrence you want to wear it.
