The Wilier Zero SLR is the first ultra-lightweight racing bike with disc brakes and fully integrated cables.

Wilier Zero SLR encapsulates the most complex concepts of lightness and total integration in simple aesthetics. These are the features the most demanding cyclists seek in the most technologically advanced racing bikes: ultra-lightweight, high-speed stability and control, braking performance, electronic transmission, high aerodynamics, and full cable integration. All are condensed in Wilier’s unmistakable style.

ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT RACING FRAME
A distinctive feature of the Wilier Zero SLR is its lightweight frame: weighing in at under 800 grams in the medium matte black version, Wilier 0 SLR is the most distinguished member of Wilier Triestina’s range of super lightweight frames. In fact, in its most advanced configuration, the entire bike tips the scales at a mere 6.5 kg.

TOTAL INTEGRATION
One of the trends most highly appreciated by the public at large is the search for extremely clean lines. Already in 2016, Wilier Triestina started down this road (one of the first bike manufacturers worldwide to do so) with Cento10AIR, inserting the brake and derailleur cables inside the monocoque handlebar, which was integrated with the frame. We raised the bar with the Wilier 0 SLR, pairing total integration with the lightest frame, fork, and handlebar lever. We've re-engineered and evolved all these elements allowing integration: the 0 integrated handlebar, composite handlebar spacers, and the section of the frame headset.

STIFFNESS TO WEIGHT
High STW values are synonymous with performance in carbon frames. Most of the time, we add material to increase a frame’s stiffness, thus increasing its weight. But, when weight is to be reduced, stiffness is at risk, and consequently, handling and handling safety is as well.
On the Wilier Zero SLR, thanks to the blend of carbons, the unique positioning of the fibers, and the construction technology, we have attained the highest level of lightness and stiffness, exceeding the STW value of our previous Zero.7 and Zero.6 models by 24%.

EASY-FIT SPACERS
The spacers between the frame headset and the handlebar are made of a high-stiffness composite material, with a special cavity for the cables. They are composed of two parts for quick assembly and disassembly without interfering with the cables running from the handlebar to the frame.

SPEED RELEASE THRU-AXLE SYSTEM
Another new feature is the Mavic Speed Release thru-axle system that enables the wheel to be quickly removed from the frame. In this way, the axle does not need to be totally extracted from the wheel hub. This solution significantly reduces wheel release and insertion time. During races, this solution cuts wheel change times by 7 seconds on average compared to a traditional thru-axle system. We also chose the Speed Release thru-axle to reduce weight (only 85 grams per pair) and safeguard the integrity of the frame

ASYMMETRY BECOMES THE SOLUTION
The transmission of power to the rear wheel must not be subjected to dispersions that cause a loss of pedalling efficiency. To meet this demand, we created an asymmetrical rear triangle with the seat stay at a slightly sharper angle than the right. This prevents lateral oscillation due to the force exerted by the cyclist on the chain, thereby turning asymmetry into a solution.

SEATPOST AND CLAMP
Wilier Zero SLR comes with a new type of carbon monocoque seatpost specially designed for this bike. Its slender shape resembles the truncated dovetail profiles of our aerodynamic Cento10PRO and Cento10NDR models. It's available in two geometries, one with a 0 mm setback and the other with a 15 mm setback, both of which are compatible with the Ritchey 1-Bolt seatpost clamp. The seatpost is attached to the frame with an expander positioned inside the horizontal tube for ultimate aesthetics and aerodynamics.

BALANCED DESIGN
Six sizes, one feeling. The sections of the tubes of various sizes were designed to maintain consistent rigidity, handling quality, and comfort on every frame size. Specifically, during the design phase, we created a different section for the main tubes for each size of the bicycle in order to increase the frame's torsional stiffness and stability.

wonderful trans sapphic shifter romance
Format: Kindle
When life falls apart, perhaps taking a break is just what is needed. But when Natalie (said trans woman) and Wren (loner alpha wolf) first see each other, it seems that perhaps that there might be something between them, but that just makes everything a lot more complicated. After all, a bond between a human and a wolf isn't a thing, is it? This was a wonderful read and I absolutely loved this story. Yes, while I may have a strong like of shifter stories, that also means that I also have expectations, and this story most definitely exceeded them. The trans representation was great. Natalie's struggles for acceptance, both internal and external resonating, and the difficulties that she's been through definitely resonate and are far too common of trans people. She's not a strong confident lead, but a woman who has issues and who does need the help and strength of others. She leans on others for better or for worse, but that makes her more real, and seeing her grow and become more confident as the story progresses is heart warming and wonderful. And the development of the bond - very nice! Wren is just as much a flawed character, with what's she's been through, and the knowing of the knowledge that she lacks. She starts off strong, as one would expect from a werewolf, but she also grows, becoming more than what she was in the beginning as well. For all of the angst and mistakes that are made, this is a story of growth and acceptance, of being able to gain what you actually desire, and to be able to embrace the support of others, knowing that you aren't alone in the world. It is a tale of finding love, of having a bond form, and being able to take it to the next level. This really is a wonderful sapphic shifter story, and one that I would highly recommend.

Wow!
Format: Kindle
Natalie desperately needs a change to get over her messy breakup. Wren is a lone wolf. She is an Alpha and has no pack to run with. With so many things at stake, will their affair end in disaster or have they found what they’ve been looking for? I loved this fresh take on shifters with the variety of shapeshifters, the dangerous hunt and the great romance. It made this story a fantastic read and an emotional rollercoaster.

Great shifter story with unique twist
Format: Kindle
The story and characters were great. It was great to finally find a sapphic story with a trans character who was pre-op or in this case just no-op. So many authors don't want to have a trans character unless she's had surgery, like another woman won't want you if you have your original parts. Thank you so much Mrs. Abbott for the trans representation on this front. Nat and Wren are wonderful together, and I love how Wren does her best to make sure Nat doesn't ever feel less than or wrong for being herself. I am curious how being a shifter will effect Nat's transition moving forward. Hopefully there is another book and it touches on it a little.

Couldn’t put it down!
Format: Kindle
I LOVED this book. I was sad when I finished it because every time I took a break, I knew i had something to look forward to. If that makes sense. Also it needs to be said that I had grown a little tired of werewolf novels until I saw this one had a trans main character. I’m queer + cis and firmly believe even the driest crustiest tropes are fresh and new when they’re given to us by talented and passionate underrepresented voices. This book is a good example of that. It’s just so fun and hammers home the connection so many queer people feel towards monsters, the secret-keeping and the ostracism and the found family. I kept saying, “of course our human protagonist is taking to the werewolf life like a duck to water!“ BEING TRANS is as big a part of this narrative as BEING A WEREWOLF and it’s delivered to us with great skill. it is a fresh, fun, cool, tense, exciting, and sexy read.
