Taking learners on an exciting cultural and linguistic journey, each story is followed by detailed translator's notes, Japanese vocabulary lists, and grammar points along with a set of discussion questions and exercises. The first two stories are very famous traditional Japanese folktales: Urashima Taro (Tale of a Fisherman) and Yuki Onna (The Snow Woman). These are followed by three short stories by notable 20th century authors:- Kumo no Ito (The Spider's Thread) by Akutagawa Ryunosuke (1892-1927)
- Oborekaketa Kyodai (The Siblings Who Almost Drowned) by Arishima Takeo (1878-1923)
- Serohiki no Goshu (Gauche the Cellist) by Miyazawa Kenji (1896-1933)
Reading these stories in the original Japanese script--and hearing native-speakers read them aloud in the accompanying free audio recording--helps students at every level deepen their comprehension of the beauty and subtlety of the Japanese language. Good docking station - when it works

Generally, this docking station functions well and as expected in the year+ that I've had it. The number of ports works well for my setup of 2 external monitors + camera. The connecting cable from dock to machine is short, but not an issue for me. Unfortunately it will go haywire periodically, ~ 1-2x per month or so. One monitor will display gray, or the other, or neither monitor will be detected. In my favorite case, the entire setup blinked in and out of functioning for about 5 minutes before dying completely... in the middle of an interview. I've updated drivers, rebooted, reconnected, all the things, so I've just decided that my particular docking station is lightly haunted.

exactly what i needed

i'm from the era of docking stations that you sat your laptop on top of and clicked into place. this is sooo much easier to use! it works seamlessly to hook up dual monitors and the only thing you need to do is plug this into your laptop and plug your monitor hdmi cords into this station. it's great!

Great piece of equipment. Worked for mouse, hard drive, and digital camera all into a laptop.
Works great. I used to plug in a mouse, an external hard drive, and an overhead Nikon digital camera for historic digitization of documents and books. It small and compatible and there were no connection or power problems. It feels well built and sturdy and the cord connection to the device is strong and flexible.

Great for retro emulation!
Got this for a retro emulation setup. Worked great. No issues whatsoever. Works on apple as well. Its a basic usb hub, but doesn't feel cheap. Got it on sale, which made it even better!
