When Josie, Valerie, Melody, and their friends visit NASA for a publicity photo, a mishap caused by the ever-clumsy Alexandra accidentally sends them blasting into outer space aboard an experimental spacecraft. Stranded light-years from home, the group embarks on an unforgettable journey across the cosmos as they search for a way back to Earth.

Their interstellar travels bring them face-to-face with mysterious cat people, sinister robot monsters, ruthless space pirates, evil dictators, and countless bizarre alien creatures. Joining the gang is the lovable extraterrestrial Bleep, voiced by Hanna-Barbera favorite Don Messick, whose adorable antics quickly made him a fan favorite.
