Multi-form 1-DHEA to help you get dry, lean gains and a harder look

Blackstone Labs Chosen1 is a straightforward prohormone built for one thing: giving you 1-DHEA precursors that turn into 1-testosterone. That's a non-aromatizing androgen—meaning it doesn't convert to estrogen—which helps with dry lean muscle, a harder look, and recomp where you build while staying lean. Don't think of this like a regular pre-workout or test booster. The setup is simple on purpose: no herbs, aminos, or weak extras—just a focused 1-DHEA blend with different forms to help with how it absorbs and releases.

Each tablet has 65 mg of the 1-DHEA blend, and folks usually take 1 tablet twice a day for 130 mg total. The ingredients are 1-androstene-3b-ol,17-one, 1-androstene-3b-ol,17-one undecanoate, and 1-androstene-3b-ol,17-one caprylate. 1-DHEA is a precursor that, after your body processes it, boosts 1-testosterone levels—not regular testosterone. That's key because 1-testosterone won't turn into estrogen, so you get those dry gains instead of water weight.

On dosing, 130 mg a day is in the ballpark of what people use for 1-DHEA stuff, though there's not a ton of big studies like with creatine. It's more about the logic and what users report. Adding undecanoate and caprylate forms is about tweaking how it gets into your system, potentially making it smoother.

Key Highlights

  • 65 mg 1-DHEA blend per tablet—everything here is about 1-androstene-3b-ol,17-one and its two ester versions, no filler junk diluting it. This makes Chosen1 a solid hormone-support pick focused on turning into 1-testosterone for dry, non-bloated muscle help.
  • 130 mg total daily at 2 tablets—this is a real dose you see in straight 1-DHEA products. It's legit enough to matter, but remember, your training and food are what make it shine, not some magic pill vibe.
  • Three forms of 1-DHEA—the main one plus undecanoate and caprylate. Esters like these can change how it absorbs and lasts, so it's smarter than just one basic form in a pill.
  • Made for dry gains—1-DHEA heads toward 1-testosterone, which skips estrogen conversion. Users pick this for lean muscle and hardness without chasing water-filled size.
  • No stimulants here—Chosen1 doesn't use caffeine or hype stuff to fake a buzz. It's about real progress in your physique and strength over weeks, not a quick hit.
  • Keeps it simple—lots of products in this space hide weak doses behind long lists. Chosen1 puts the spotlight right on the prohormone actives, no pretending it's a basic gym supp.
  • Blend total is clear at 65 mg per tablet—better than totally hidden props. Downside is you don't get exact splits for each form, so it's not fully open book.
  • Undecanoate ester hints at longer release—it's used to make things more fat-soluble and change body handling. Gives the formula a thought-out edge over plain 1-DHEA tabs.

Who Is This For?

  • Intermediate bodybuilders in lean-gain mode wanting harder, drier changes over fast weight ups. Chosen1's 1-DHEA blend targets 1-testosterone, great for density, recomp, and skipping that watery estrogen look.
  • Vets cutting fat but holding or building strength. Non-estrogen 1-DHEA fits comp phases where you want a dry finish and performance that matches the mirror.
  • Off-season competitors tracking everything tight. This shines when basics are nailed and you expect build-up effects, not instant wins.
  • Advanced gym rats who've done creatine, protein, pre-workouts and now eye hormone support. The clean 1-DHEA focus beats long lists of extras.
  • Folks after a prohormone without estrogen mass. 1-DHEA to 1-testosterone means harder looks over water-driven fullness.
  • Guys on 6-8 week hypertrophy blocks with solid habits. Effects build slow, so it suits consistent users who track recovery and plan post-cycle.

How to Use

Common setup for Blackstone Labs Chosen1 is 1 tablet twice daily for 130 mg of the 1-DHEA blend. As a prohormone, go for steady timing over gym-specific; same times each day beats random use. Take with a meal that has some fat— these actives like that for better uptake than on empty. If you're new to this, stick to the label and ease in over a few days. No stims mean no worries with coffee or pre-workouts, but manage overall cycle load smart. Avoid mixing with other prohormones, SARMs, or hormone actives unless you've got a plan for the total impact. Team it with creatine, protein, and real training instead of hoping it fixes bad habits. Run it in a set cycle with post-plan ready. Keep it cool and dry to maintain the tabs.

What to Expect

First 0-30 minutes: probably nothing, and that's fine—it's not a stim or pump chaser. No buzz, no tingles, no rush. Days 1-7: focus on steady dosing and watch how you feel in workouts, recovery, and any hormone tweaks. Weeks 2-3: start seeing the real deal, like a harder look, better drive, and small strength bumps over big weight gains. Weeks 3-4: things get noticeable—denser muscles, drier vibe, and lean support if your diet and lifts are on point. After that, it's all about keeping it going. Judge this over a full cycle, not one session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the active ingredient in Blackstone Labs Chosen1?

The verified active formula is a 1-DHEA blend at 65 mg per tablet. That blend contains 1-androstene-3b-ol,17-one, 1-androstene-3b-ol,17-one undecanoate, and 1-androstene-3b-ol,17-one caprylate.

How much Chosen1 do most users take per day?

The commonly referenced label protocol is 1 tablet twice daily, which provides 130 mg total 1-DHEA blend per day. Because this is a cumulative hormone-support formula, consistency matters more than taking it only around workouts.

Is Blackstone Labs Chosen1 a pre-workout?

No. Chosen1 contains no confirmed caffeine or classic pre-workout ingredients like citrulline, beta-alanine, or tyrosine. It is a prohormone-style product built around 1-DHEA for hormonal and physique-oriented support over time.

What does 1-DHEA do in this formula?

1-DHEA is a precursor intended to convert downstream into 1-testosterone, an androgen valued for lean, dry physique support. Users typically choose this pathway when they want hardness and recomposition support rather than estrogen-related water retention.

Why are there three forms of 1-DHEA in Chosen1?

Blackstone Labs uses the parent 1-DHEA compound alongside undecanoate and caprylate forms to create a more engineered delivery profile. The idea is to influence absorption and release characteristics instead of relying on only one version of the active.

How quickly do you feel Chosen1 working?

You generally do not ‘feel’ Chosen1 immediately because it is not a stimulant. Most users evaluate it over 2 to 4 weeks based on gym performance, muscular hardness, body composition changes, and overall lean-mass support.

Is Chosen1 fully transparent with its dosing?

Partially. The product discloses a total 1-DHEA blend of 65 mg per tablet, but it does not break out the individual milligram amount of each of the three forms. That means you know the total active dose, but not the exact ratio inside the blend.

Should beginners use Blackstone Labs Chosen1?

No, this is not a beginner-level supplement. Because it is a hormone-support/prohormone product, it is better reserved for advanced users who already understand cycle planning, side-effect monitoring, and post-cycle considerations.

Can I stack Chosen1 with creatine and protein?

Yes, that is a logical stack. Creatine monohydrate supports phosphocreatine recycling for strength and training volume, while protein supports the substrate side of muscle repair and growth—both complement the anabolic intent of a 1-DHEA cycle.

Does Chosen1 convert to estrogen?

The appeal of the 1-DHEA pathway is that it converts toward 1-testosterone, which does not aromatize to estrogen. That is why users often select it for drier gains and a harder appearance rather than a softer, water-retentive look.

3.5 stars, A little boring to say the least.
Format: Kindle
Wow so I'm not sure where to begin on this one. This was a very different take on the legend of Arthur and Excalibur. This is told from the point of view of Morgan the sister of Arthur. Honestly the first 50% of this book is world building and character building which unfortunately was super boring for me. Morgan to me was a female MC that had a hard time in believing in herself. Sometimes taking too long to understand exactly what was going on around her. Draven was also a different male MC, like I couldn't put my finger on him and what he was all about. It was not until the last 10% of the book did we get some answers on the mystery that is Draven. The other 50% of the book centered around this big journey with everyone having a different motive. We see a spark of magic around this time that had me excited but then we never expanded upon that and what it could mean for the female MC. I feel like I want to read the second book just to see where this goes, but the spice was probably a 2 out of 5. Side characters are ok, Lancelet was fun but I almost felt like I wanted more.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. Enchanting
Format: Kindle
"Queen of Roses" by Briar Boleyn is a delightful and refreshing reimagining of the classic tale of King Arthur, with a captivating twist that places the spotlight on Morgan, a character who has often been overshadowed in traditional retellings. Boleyn's creative decision to shift the narrative perspective to Morgan breathes new life into the story, offering readers an intriguing and compelling look at the Arthurian world from an entirely different angle. One of the most commendable aspects of this book is its incorporation of Fae elements, which adds an enchanting layer of magic and mystery to the already familiar Arthurian setting. Boleyn skillfully weaves the world of the Fae into the narrative, creating a captivating backdrop against which the events of the story unfold. This addition not only adds depth to the world-building but also provides ample opportunities for twists and turns that keep readers thoroughly engrossed. However, while the book boasts numerous strengths, it does have one noticeable flaw: the characterization of Morgan. While it is reasonable to create a flawed and complex protagonist, it appears that at times, Morgan's character becomes overly difficult and hard to relate to. Her persistently negative perception of one of the main male characters, who is a potential love interest, despite his efforts to support and assist her, may come across as somewhat irrational and could test the patience of some readers. Striking a balance between a strong, independent character and one who can recognize genuine support and affection could have enhanced the overall reader experience. Nonetheless, the allure of "Queen of Roses" lies in its innovative approach to the Arthurian legend and its skillful blending of fantasy elements into a familiar narrative. Boleyn's evocative prose draws readers into a world where magic, destiny, and fate entwine, leaving us eager to uncover the mysteries that unfold within the pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An action-packed dark romantasy
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! Queen of Roses is an Arthurian-inspired dark romantasy that is the first book in the Blood of Fae series. The story follows Morgan, the princess of Camelot who is rumored to be part fae. Fueled by prejudiced hatred and a mistrust of fae blood, Morgan’s abusive father strips her of her birthright and hands it to her half-brother, Arthur. Instead of becoming queen, Morgan is commanded to join the temple of the goddesses when she comes of age. However, Arthur turns into a psychopathic, power-hungry, fae-hating king as he ages. He develops malevolent plans and commands Morgan to find an ancient weapon with legendary power. Although Morgan is wary of Arthur’s intentions, she embraces the opportunity to go on a journey and potentially change her fate. The story picks up from there and we follow Morgan on her quest to find the ancient relic. It’s full of high stakes adventure, mystery, tension, banter, forced proximity, hidden magic, self discovery, and betrayal. This first installment of the series intricately develops the world building and character development. There’s little romance in this book, but it is evident that it is a slow burn that will continue to develop throughout the remainder of the series. Overall, I loved the world building, the epic fantasy, Morgan’s journey of self discovery, and all of the twists and turns that set the stage for the future installments. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.
