Rosso rubino carico il colore, con sottili riflessi porpora al calice. Equilibrato e di buon corpo il palato, morbido nella trama tannica, di buona persistenza, leggermente balsamico e minerale nel retrogusto.Niuru maru: ovvero negroamaro, in riferimento al colore scuro delle bucce delle uve, e al sapore amarostico del vino. Questa letimologia del nome, di un vitigno che ha origini antichissime, presumibilmente greche, e che oggi ha il merito di tenere alta limportanza enologica della Puglia e del Salento. E grandi meriti vanno riconosciuti anche alla cantina Due Palme, che nel segno della territorialità e della tipicità ci regala il Canonico, per lappunto Negroamaro del Salento figlio delle più radicate tradizioni locali. Quattro mesi di riposo in legno fanno de Il Canonico un Negroamaro fine e fruttato, arricchito da quelle componenti gradevolmente balsamiche che accompagnano alla perfezione un sorso lavorato al cesello. Per la tavola di tutti i giorni, ma anche per una bella cena tra amici, Il Canonico è uno di quei vini da tenere sempre a portata di mano.
Ottimo con le portate a base di carne, è perfetto con lo stinco di vitello alle bacche di ginepro.

Shines a light on the reality of the War in the Pacific
Format: Audiobook
Well-written and it really laid out all of the details of how this battle unfolded. I listed to the audio-book, and it was helpful to have the PDF to see a map. How the soldiers on each side endured the battles in the Pacific Theater is beyond me. Man's inhumanity to man that result in this battle outlined here is depressing, but also the sacrifice of those called on to endure and suffer through that inhumanity is equally inspiring and humbling to those whose lives are so comfortable in comparison.

Good book
Format: Hardcover
If Ww2 interest u at all then u want to read this book. I have read the other books on this subject ( so why read another one?) well what i luv about this book is that because so much time has passed that most all of the people in this book are gone & so much more info has been released about these battles, that the combatants ( especially the higher officers are written about as if they are human (mistakes & warts & all) & not like they were all Bull Halsey type Gods which they were certainly not as in most all the books released within the 1st 30 yrs of the war. This makes for a much different & more interesting story about these battles than even the original books on the subject. You come to understand the where & whyfores better, by knowing the real true strenghts & weakness's & fears that drove these men. Hey they are all the bravest of heroes to me. But the were not perfect, & because of this, mistakes were made, that were really not acknowledged or maybe not even known about in early books on WW2

Great structure

I had to get the book for class, so did not exactly get it because I “wanted to.” It was a good read though. I liked the structure of each section. Everything simple enough to understand while also diving a bit deeper.

A must have for every intelligence professional - collector or analyst!

An excellent resource for any intelligence collector or analyst. The chapters are written by world-class experts in each discipline with an excellent final chapter on collection management written by Drs. Lowenthal and Clark. Each chapter defines the elements of the particular intelligence discipline, its history and producers, as well as how the INT is managed and explores likely future trends. An extensively researched and documented text that is nonetheless an approachable resource that would make an excellent addition to any intelligence related syllabus.
