This 6" Mini Power Sluice Setup Kit with Mini Dream Mat is a compact, portable power sluice for small-batch gold recovery, cleanup work, and recirculating sluice setups. It can also be used as a river sluice by removing the header box and attaching the included flare.

The sluice is made from strong .080 gauge 5052 aircraft aluminum, which keeps the unit lightweight, durable, and easy to transport. Aluminum also makes it easier to use a magnet to remove black sand buildup during cleanup.
The bed of the sluice includes 16 inches of Mini Dream Mat. Dream Mat uses vortex-style cells designed to help classify, separate, capture, and hold gold as material moves through the sluice. It is especially useful for fine gold recovery, sandy material, and black sand conditions.
Mini Dream Mat is made from polyurethane, not cheap rubber or silicone. Mat color may vary from what is shown in the product photo.
For best results, use classified material. Mini Dream Mat is designed for classified feeds, with 8 mesh being a good screen size. It also works well with 1/4" to 3/8" screened material.
This 6" mini power sluice works well with a recovery tub (not included) to create a recirculating system.

Before First Use:
- Wash the Dream Mat with detergent in warm water using a soft brush or cloth.
- Wash both the top and bottom of the mat to remove any excess release agent from the manufacturing process.
- Small bubbles may appear in the mat pattern. These should have very little overall effect on performance because of the hydro-cyclone design of the Dream Mat cells.
Setup Instructions:
- Attach the legs so the front legs are shorter than the back legs. There should be about 4 inches more above the leg bracket in the back than in the front.
- This should create about a 15-degree slope, or roughly 1 inch of drop per foot.
- Remove the flare and set it aside.
- Attach the header box where the flare was removed.
- Place the sluice with the header box on the stand, with the end without the header box under the slot on the stand.
- Place the pump in a bucket, stream, or tub filled with water.
- For recirculating use, place a recovery tub under the discharge end so the water can be reused.
- To help protect the pump, use a bucket with holes near the top to catch waste material before it reaches the pump.
Recovery Tips:
- Feed rates depend on your water flow, material type, and how quickly the Dream Mat cells clear.
- Start by feeding a scoop or two and watch how the material moves through the cells.
- You want to see material dancing around in the cells, not packing up or washing through too quickly.
- When the water clears and more of the mat surface is exposed, the cells are ready for more material.
- Do not be afraid to run plenty of water over the mat. About 1 inch of water over the top of the mat is a good starting point.
- Classified material is recommended. 8 mesh is a good screen size for this Mini Dream Mat setup.
- Feed material slowly and avoid overloading the sluice.
