This original artwork was inspired by a red-tailed black cockatoo feather I was fortunate enough to find. There was something about discovering it that felt significant, as though it appeared at exactly the right moment.
I’ve always felt that certain things enter our lives through serendipity. A feather, a person, a conversation, or a moment of inspiration can arrive when we need it most. We may not understand why at the time, but later we see the meaning it carried.
As I created this piece, I thought about those unexpected gifts life places in our path. The red-tailed black cockatoo has long been associated with change, resilience, guidance, and the unfolding of new chapters. This artwork became a reflection of those ideas.
I believe every artwork eventually finds the person it is meant for. Perhaps this piece will simply be admired, or perhaps it will resonate deeply with someone who sees a part of their own journey within it.
Either way, I trust it will find its way to where it belongs.
