A Novel Love Story

When Elsy Merriweather finds a mysterious note left by her late mother with instructions to sprinkle her ashes in the town of Eloraton, she decides to take on the impossible task.

Eloraton, New York is a quaint town nestled within the forests of the scenic Hudson Valley. Or at least it would be—if it existed outside of the paperback romance series Quixotic Falls. Elsy’s mother loved the books: the best day of her life was when she had Elsy, but her second best day? Meeting the late author. So Elsy packs up her mother’s beat-up Pinto and sets her sights on the paper town.

Except, where there should be a plaque on the side of the highway commemorating the author’s well-loved series, she finds a real town brimming with all the characters from the series—all familiar to her except the grumpy and infuriatingly sexy bookstore owner. She can’t believe it. She doesn’t at first. But the longer she stays in this fictional town, the more she realizes why she’s here—to find an ending to the last story in the series that was never finished, and give these characters who ferried her through heartbreak one last happily-ever-after.

The only problem? The bookstore owner—the one person in this town she wants to give a happy ending to most—never wants the story to end, and Elsy is determined to find out why.
