I first fell in love with Bunny at the age of 15 when I heard The Wailers @ Record Plant Sausalito 10/31/1973. The vocal chemistry of Bob, Bunny, and Peter floored me. Leaving a big impression on my young mind. In his song "Blackheart Man" you can hear Bunny's innate ability to conjure up melodies that channel empowerment and uplift the soul - even through the hardest of times. His vocals - silky smooth yet rough with the tone of struggle and endurance. Consisten themes found in his lyrics speak of strength through unity and remind us of the inner rewards acquired through living an altruistic and compassionate life.
Bunny was a guiding light that comforted millions. He was a true man of the people, donating his time and creative endeavors towards his community and Rasta beliefs. Always practicing what he preached and giving back that which he received. Thank you for sharing your gift and Rest In Power JAH B.
