Pro-Tip: To ensure the longest life for your expansion heads, always apply a thin layer of PEX Expander Grease to the tool’s cone before attaching the head. When working in cold temperatures (below 40°F), remember that PEX pipe shrinks more slowly; hold the tool in the pipe for an extra second after the final expansion to ensure the fitting is seated perfectly before the pipe begins to contract.
