ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A LUXURY EDITION FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE BOOK.

On the tenth anniversary of its publication, and now in a special commemorative edition, this moving story of love and courage during the Second World War has become a contemporary classic.

France, 1939. In the quiet town of Carriveau, Vianne Mauriac says goodbye to her husband, Antoine, who must go to the front. She does not believe the Nazis will invade France, but they do--battalions of soldiers marching through the streets, caravans of trucks and tanks, planes filling the skies and dropping bombs on the innocent. When a German captain requisitions Vianne's home, she and her daughter must live side by side with the enemy or risk losing everything. With no food, no money, and no hope, Vianne is forced to make increasingly difficult decisions in order to survive.

Vianne's sister, Isabelle, is a rebellious eighteen-year-old searching for purpose in her life with all the reckless passion of youth. As thousands of Parisians flee the city ahead of the Germans' imminent arrival, Isabelle meets Gaëton, a partisan who believes the French can fight the Nazis from within France itself. Isabelle falls completely in love, but after feeling betrayed, she decides to join the Resistance. Never stopping to look back, Isabelle will risk her life again and again to save others.

In love we discover who we want to be.
In war we discover who we truly are.

Versatile, comfortable and a delight to wear
Size: 10.5 Wide, Color: Army Green
Had never heard of this brand but needed a pair of waterproof boots for a trip to the PNW where we would hike in mountains, rainforest and beaches. I have a pair of Merrell Moab hiking shoes, but wanted something that covered more and were waterproof. These boots are amazing. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I own. I wore them everywhere and found I preferred them over other shoes throughout the trip. They stayed comfortable and dry no matter where we went, rivers, lakes or the ocean. I’ve now worn them on several trips including a March trip to Bryce Canyon where we went from snow on some trails to the heat of the red rocks in others. I love these boots more every time I wear them. I am a huge fan now. At the price they are a nobrainer. I would buy these Nortiv8 boots over and over again.

Good value for a $55 boot.
Size: 12, Color: Army Green
I like these boots because I have a wide foot and even though I bought the 12 and NOT the 12W there is plenty of width. Very comfortable boot. I have put this pair through about 1000 miles mostly on asphalt, ice and snow. Very little actual dirt/ rocky trails. I bought them for the waterproofness and ankle support. Now the soles are getting thin and I can feel small rocks through the soles. Plus the soles are beginning to separate from the uppers and they are no longer waterproof. Not bad for 1000 miles. Still, I feel For a $55 boot they are a good value. I am 6ft and weigh 250.

Worth Every Penny!
Size: 9, Color: Coyote
I absolutely love these boots! They are super light, comfortable and definitely waterproof. I took them on a camping trip for the weekend and I walked through creeks and puddles with no issues at all. No water got inside and they were comfortable all weekend. The only thing was the tongue did start to bother me a bit after the 3rd day. I have some pretty boney shins but a small cloth between my shins and the tongue helped a lot.
