WHAT ARE VOICE CUPS?
The Voice Cup is the next step for SOVT exercising. As the companion to the Voice Straw, Voice Cups allow you to keep the same healthy aerodynamic (breath) pressure, but also work through the acoustics. This means that you can sing and speak with the same straw benefits to build balance and create healthy vocal patterns.
By adding the Voice Cups to your Voice Straw routine, you can articulate, sing lyrics, practice dynamics, and enunciate different vowels and consonants all while keeping your vocal tract in a healthy configuration.
HOW TO USE CUPS:
To use the cups, select the straw size of your choice (6mm or 3mm in diameter). Fit the straw into either the black (3mm) or white (6mm) Voice Cup. At this point, most of the straw should be outside the cup. The straw does not go in your mouth, it just loosely hangs in the cup. Place the opening of the cup over your mouth and create a tight seal (no air pockets around the rim of the cup). Start doing any of your vocal workouts, sing through a song, or yell our shout. You should be able to feel a difference in your throat!
WHY USE CUPS?
The Voice Straw regulates aerodynamic pressure while the cup balances acoustical pressure—making the two together the complete voice training package. When you add the Voice Cup to the Voice Straw, you can create a tight seal around your mouth. This seal allows you to actually sing, talk, yell, etc., all while keeping the vocal tract in the healthy configuration you've achieved through straw training.
CHOOSE YOUR RESISTANCE LEVEL: 6mm or 3mm
Voice Cups come with two different openings compatible with The Voice Straws. Cup training is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Because of this, our cup kit allows you to choose between two cups that fit the different Voice Straw diameters to take your vocal training to the next level.
