Explore God’s creation and see it as His masterful work of art.
Learn how to worship God with art by beginning with God’s Word.
Learn about lines, shapes, colors, and more through fun activities.
Develop hand and eye skills needed to gain independence in creating art.
A Course That Makes Teaching Art So Easy
Just two 30-minute lessons a week are all it takes to give your child a full year of meaningful art education. The textbook doubles as a workbook, so your child's activity pages and your read-aloud narrative passages are all in one place. No hunting for materials, either: each lesson includes a supply list of simple household and craft items like uncooked macaroni, wooden craft sticks, tempera paints, and ribbon, so you're always prepared before you open the book.
Templates in the back give you a head start on several projects, and an answer key handles the fact-based exercises for you. Every third week, your child works through a satisfying multi-step project like a drawing, a sponge painting, a lantern, or a diorama, the kind of finished piece they'll want to keep.
Art Instruction and Activities
Lessons introduce key artistic vocabulary your child will actually use: symmetry, pattern, value, form, perspective, and texture. They'll explore the color wheel from primary to secondary colors, discover the difference between cool and warm colors, and practice mixing colors themselves.
Simple skills like tracing, lacing, molding, and cutting are practiced first in focused, low-pressure exercises. Then those same skills are put to work in multi-step projects that result in something your child will want to show off, like a beautiful lantern made from craft sticks and tissue paper, or handprint zebras peeking through waving grass.
Worksheets provide structure and practice; projects open the door to creative expression. Together, they give you the framework that makes teaching art at home feel manageable rather than overwhelming.
Activities across the year include fingerprint art, paper mosaics, playdough sculptures, wax-resist watercolor painting, step-by-step drawings in a simplified style, sponge painting, a wax paper melt, and origami paper folding.
Eye Spy: Noticing God’s Glory
This curriculum will build your child’s faith through the Eye Spy moments that invite students to pause and look for God’s character reflected in art, creation, and everyday life. These guided prompts connect each lesson’s art skill to Scripture, helping children see how God's design, order, and attributes show up in the world around them and training young eyes to view creativity and creation through a Christ-centered lens.
The Progression from First Grade's Art Level 1
Art Level 2 assumes basic pencil and scissor proficiency and builds on those skills with greater precision and independence. Step-by-step drawing becomes a core skill, projects grow slightly more sophisticated (drawing + cutting + assembling), and children begin developing their own artistic style through small creative decisions about their work.

Versatile spray that works well for sensitive skin
Lately I've been hearing so much about hypochlorus acid and its multiple benefits and uses. Being that I really like Coola products, when I saw that Coola had made a hypochlorous acid face spray, I was eager to give it a try. I'm glad I did!
As someone with sensitive skin that gets irritated from perspiration when I work out, I was hoping this spray might calm my post-workout skin...and it did. The mist comes in an attractive spray bottle. The spray that comes out is at the intensity of somewhere between a fine mist and a coarse spray; it sprays a good amount to wet your face rather than just a very fine coating. Upon spraying on my skin that was red and warm from my workout, I immediately felt a cooling effect. I wiped the spray in to my skin a bit, and it both cleared away the perspiration, and felt soothing to my post-workout irritation. It felt very different from other toners or astringents I'd used, and my face felt clean, refreshed and unexpectedly soft after use.
I later tried the recovery mist on a small area of rash I developed on my neck. I had a similar experience in that it cooled the skin, and my rash appeared minimized, as well.
My only issue with this product is the scent. The spray has a scent that smells like a faint version of chlorine bleach...which was disconcerting, since I'm spraying it on my face! I actually looked it up and apparently that's just the scent that hypochlorous acid has...so it's not specific to just Coola's product. Fortunately, the bleachy scent dissipated quickly.
Overall, I'm happy with this product, and found it useful for my irritated skin. While I tried it for post workout skin and a rash, apparently it can be used for bites, scrapes and acne as well, so it seems to be very versatile. So if you can get over the initial bleachy scent, it's definitely worth giving a try. Priced at $20 for the 3.4 ounce bottle, which should last a while, I find it to offer a good value for the money, as well.

Surprisingly Effective for Redness & Post-Sun Skin Recovery
This stuff actually works. I’ve been using it after sun exposure, and it genuinely seems to help calm, soothe, and hydrate my skin.
I usually spray it on before applying my hydrating serums and moisturizer, so it’s part of a larger skincare routine, but I definitely feel like this mist plays an important role. My skin feels less irritated, looks less red, and just overall more refreshed afterward.
The spray itself is lightweight and easy to use, with no sticky residue or heavy feeling on the skin. It layers well with other skincare products too, which I appreciate.
Overall, this has become a really nice recovery step in my routine—especially after being outdoors or whenever my skin feels stressed and dehydrated. Sometimes skincare products make very dramatic promises and deliver absolutely nothing but scented disappointment. This one quietly does its job.

Truly refreshing right away
I am someone who gets a red face from even the most slight physical exertion, even when I'm in peak physical shape (I've been this way my entire life), so anything that reduces redness and heat is something I'll pretty much instantly try. I already use several other Coola products (their hair sunscreen is amazing) so this was interesting right away. After going on a brisk walk pushing the stroller (while pregnant by the way), I tried this spray on my face and chest. It was genuinely refreshing immediately! It didn't bother my skin, was a good amount of product in one spray, and didn't have any kind of weird smell. Honestly for $20, I would buy this repeatedly every spring/summer, especially in the Midwest! I'm considering ordering an extra bottle just for my daughter to take with her to summer camp. Pro tip: store in the fridge for even more refreshing-ness!

Amazing ability to calm red, itchy skin but pricier than alternatives
When I saw this product, I was a bit skeptical. I have extremely dry skin that’s prone to red, itchy spots but it seemed unlikely a misty spray would be anywhere near as beneficial as the creams and ointments I’ve turned to over the years. Since I’ve used other COOLA products and really liked them, I decided to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. I tried it on a couple of red patches on my face. There’s an immediate feeling of cooling relief (which leads me to believe this would also be a great solution for a burn), but what I found amazing was the redness decreased significantly and immediately. After a few minutes, I was able to put on makeup, forgoing concealer on those spots. I also tried it on a red, itchy spot on my leg, again calming the itch and decreasing the redness.
Just because it seemed unwise to start using hypochlorous acid, the active ingredient in this spray, knowing nothing about it, I did a bit of online research. Apparently, not only is it considered safe and recommended by dermatologists for eczema like conditions, it also is antibacterial and can be used to keep cuts clean and help them heal. I’m sold on the concept of this spray. My one hesitation is that it seems to be more expensive than other similar options – particularly when you do the math to determine cost per ounce. I am a real fan of the COOLA brand, but given that my skin is such that I’ll probably use this regularly, the cost differential may become prohibitive.
I would highly recommend this product for anyone who wants it on hand for the occasional sunburn or blemish. For those like me who would benefit by using it once or more per day, while still singing its praises as to efficacy, I would have to qualify the recommendation due to price.

Refreshing, Recovery Mist
I’ve been using this COOLA Recovery+ Face Mist right after running, and it does wonders. After a run, my face usually looks flushed and feels a bit irritated from sweat and heat. A couple sprays of this helps tremendously. It provides an immediate cooling and refreshing feel without irritation. It really helps reduce that post run redness faster and it feels very gentle. It’s super easy to use. You just spray it on and let it dry.
