Den stora nyheten i Ultra New-serien är "innanmätet". Istället för den tidigare solida axeln med utvändiga muttrar, använder dessa nav en ihålig axel i CrMo-stål av Surly's egen design. Den paras ihop med högkvalitativa fixeringsbultar (hon-bultar) som skruvas direkt in i axeln.

Tack vare den ihåliga konstruktionen blir konvertering till snabbkopplingar (QR) busenkel: skruva bara ur bultarna, trä i din QR-axel och rulla iväg. Snyggt, enkelt och funktionellt.
