MAP will be transformed by the skin enzymes into Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), an antioxidant and a co-factor for an enzyme crucial in the synthesis of collagen and elastin. Vitamin C, as an anti-oxidant, scavenges and destroys Reactive Oxidative Species (ROS) and other free radicals. Because of this ability, it provides important protection against damage induced by UV radiation. It improves skin elasticity, decreases wrinkles by stimulating collagen synthesis, reduces redness, promotes wound healing and improve damaged skin barrier.

Fulvic acid is one of the components of the so-called humic substances, which are formed naturally during the decay of plant. It assist in every stage of cellular rejuvenation. It aids in neutralizing unwanted toxins and carries nutrients to skin cells. By improving cellular metabolism and microcirculation, Fulvic Acid rejuvenates the skin. It penetrates the skin efficiently and without any help from other compounds. It also protects the skin and prevents inflammation, therefore controlling skin redness.

Gluconolactone is a next generation poly-hydroxy acid (PHA). It is found in honey, fermented products, wine, and fruit juices. It contains more Hydroxyl (-OH) groups, making it a larger and better humectant, even more potent than Glycerin. Their large molecular size means that Glucanolactone exfoliates the top layer of dead skin without damaging the deeper layers and the ability to draw extra moisture into the skin, it hydrates while exfoliating to provide fading dark spots, uneven skin texture, wrinkles and fine lines. Also, being an antioxidant and free radical scavenger, there is no need to worry about photosensitivity, traditionally seen with other AHAs.

It is the sodium salt of Hyaluronic Acid. Sodium Hyaluronate has a lower molecular weight than hyaluronic acid. It is small enough to penetrate the epidermis, or top layer of the skin. In turn, it can improve hydration from the underlying skin layers in order to boost collagen synthesis and make skin more firm and elastic to provide wrinkle and fine line-free youthful looks. Recent study results showed Sodium Hyaluronate increases the epithelialization to accelerate the skin wound healing rate, helping to recover compromised skin.

Pro-vitamin B5 (also known as Panthenol) helps the skin retain more moisture and preserve its suppleness by stimulating the regeneration of dermal and epidermal cells.

Patch Testing
