The stamps are ready to mount on an acrylic block they can be used with ink pads, paint, or used with pigment ink and embossing powder. They are suitable for use on paper, fabric, or any other surface depending on the ink choice. The only slightly negative comment I have is on the holder. It's nice to have one, but geez, this one is so thin when you screw it together it could blow over in a strong wind. It's surdy enough to hold the weights, but it's certainly not an outstanding piece of engineering. Just be sure to place it where it won't do damage when it falls down. And take care when you remove and replace the weights on it!
