The factory preset sounds don't do it justice, so you'll want to make your own.
PLEASE READ IN FULL: This unit may or may not work fine for your purposes. It had some pretty bad battery leakage and has some problems as a result. We normally have our tech refurbish the gear we sell, but for lower value items like this, it's just not feasible, so we are selling it as is. There's no guarantee the problems listed are repairable, but this unit is quite functional in its current state. Under the circumstances, we are selling it for less than what we would sell a fully functional unit for.
The problems we noticed are: The top 2 keys do not work. Our tech says the carbon key contacts were damaged by the battery acid. He cleaned up some of the acid while he was inside (it was a mess) but he didn't do a thorough job because we told him to stop. The chorus slider crackles when moved. Our tech says removing it and cleaning it may or may not fix this issue. The user programmable memory is not currently working, which is to be expected because there are no batteries installed, but our tech says the backup circuit appears to have been damaged by battery acid, so it's more than just the lack of batteries causing this. If you want the user programmable memory locations to work, you will need to remove all battery acid and repair any damage it may have caused before it will work, if you can get it to work (no guarantees).
On the bright side, the factory preset sounds all work fine, and all patch editing features and controls on the front panel appear to work properly. If you just want it to play the classic factory sounds and are ok with the two top keys not working (or controlling via MIDI) and some crackle in the chorus fader, this one should make you happy. If you're into making your own sounds, the user memory that would normally be working in a CZ3000 is quite small (limited to only 32 patches), so a much better option would be to use this unit with a MIDI patch editor and librarian instead. With software like this, you should be able to edit your sounds and save them to your computer, eliminating the need to use the currently non-functional user memory. Please research this option though before attempting to buy this unit as we want to make sure it'll work for your purposes. We wrote a couple patches to user memory and they did stay in memory while the unit was powered on, but disappeared after power off, as expected. As you can see, the two fader knobs are missing, but the faders can still be moved easily. There are people selling replacement knobs if you need them.
