ABOUT THE ART

In 1998, Shepard Fairey made his transition into mass commercial art when he agreed to promote the avant-garde film "Man On The Moon". Fairey utilized his screen-print process and signature color-palette to craft two images of Andy Kaufman and Tony Clifton.

The posters were mass-distributed in the same guerrilla-style street campaign that only Shepard was capable of… they were given for free to skaters, bike messengers, and eccentric fans who plastered them over the urban landscapes. Recently, the remaining posters that were not given away have been found in storage.

“The one-sheet was for the cultish side of it. Universal did the mainstream poster campaign with Jim Carrey, and we did the one-sheet for the underground crowd that knew about Andy Kaufman,” says Dave Kinsey (Fairey's partner at Blk/Mrkt).

“It was one of the first projects where Universal Studios said, ’You know what, here’s the budget, we don’t want anything to do with it. We don’t even want to see it, just get it out there.’ We did a poster design and a Web site (AndyLives.org). Its purpose was two-fold - it was the viral marketing campaign for people in the know and it drew people in who didn’t know about Andy Kaufman.”

MUST read! Best pregnancy book so far and I'm in my 3rd trimester.
Format: Hardcover
I cannot put into words how quickly I absolutely INHALED this book! I haven't done that since I was a teenager! It was midnight before I realized I had blown through the first 3rd of the book. I finished it the next morning cause I could NOT put it down. I audibly laughed and cried (in a good way) and felt the most seen I have felt my entire pregnancy (this is my 1st). I felt like I was reading my own diary and am having my husband read it next so he can understand what I haven't been able to put into words for him these last 6 months. My favorite parts were reading Daryl's takes on situations and how much of a team he and Meghan have been since day one. My husband and I felt like we have been doing things "wrong" cause he's been so involved and he really hasn't felt like he could relate or talk with most of his male friends cause they still perpetuate the typical, hands off male role. If I could personally thank and hug Meghan for sharing her story, I would. Thanks bestie ;)

Relatable, easy read, great tips
Format: Hardcover
I appreciated how balanced this book was - from personal reflection (from multiple view points - especially dad advice) to recipes to data to exercise ideas. This book was a great pregnancy tool.

Such a good book!
Format: Hardcover
I really enjoyed this! I felt at ease and so much more calmer about pregnant . Megan wrote this book so well and in a way that makes you feel like you’re in a safe space and like you’re talking to a friend . It’s raw, it’s real, it’s funny and so honest.

Eh. It was ok. Good for a laugh not for realistic expectations
Format: Hardcover
The book was alright. I appreciated the jokes and style of writing, like a GenZ approach. She’s obviously very funny! However it’s written by a celebrity with massive amounts of money. While she acknowledges her privilege, it felt like a filler line. She goes on and on about out of touch items she had during her pregnancy which really rubbed me the wrong way. I appreciated her chapter on infertility and fertility treatments. Overall I guess I’m glad I bought it and read it. It made me feel a little less lonely. But not something I’d recommend to a friend.
