A Plucking Good Story
'In 1989, as Sri Lanka was engulfed by war & insurgence, I secretly headed out at night to pluck tea leaves as I always had. I knew of a traditional recipe, lost for more than a century.

Freshly plucked tea leaves are dried in the sunshine, pounded by hand in a stone mortar and cooked over a traditional hearth. It was a tea I could make in my own kitchen. I made the strong brew for my family to enjoy. I hope you enjoy it too.' - Mama D

Serving
Great to drink as a black tea or with the addition of milk/alternatives! Brew with boiling water (100'c) for 3 -5 mins & serve with or without milk. We recommend being light handed on the leaves to water ratio as this is one strong brew! Less again if you are not adding milk/alternatives.
