I’ve come to realize through the grace and mercy of the Lord, rest is essential to the life of the believer. Of course when we picture rest our minds automatically drift to the thought of peaceful slumber or a relaxed day off of work; but that is not true rest. True rest looks like surrender. True rest is setting aside yourself and bowing in reverence to our gentle and humble King Jesus. Lay your burdens at His feet. Rest is found on the other side of surrender.
