Introducing the Microdose Diffuser Bowl for the Thermal Twist and Ruby Twist Diffuser. The main idea behind this bowl is that it sits inside the injector nozzle of the metal housing and holds the herb much closer to the heater which allows for even faster thermal extraction production and easy use with smaller loads. An added benefit of this setup is that you can make use of heat transfer between the metal housing and glass bowl to add a conduction (hot surface) element to the extraction process. This along with the convection (hot air) can turn the Thermal Twist or Ruby Twist into a hybrid thermal extraction instead of being purely convection base.

As with the original Thermal Twist injector bowls we suggest using a medium grind to allow air to pass through the herb quickly, you can use a finer grind but this will result in added compaction of the herb causing a reduction in airflow. Whichever grind size you use, always ensure that when you've loaded the bowl there isn't herb sticking out of the top which might make contact inside the metal housing as doing this will leave you open to risking combustion. On a related note you should never tamp your herb with any force, you can arrange it so that the screen is full and the herb is even, but compressing it will severely impact the airflow.

Another little advantage of these bowls is that you can use a straw loading and unloading technique, where you pop the bowl end of the bowl into your ground herb and inhale to suck herb into the basket screen, then for unloading you can blow through it to empty. If you want to, it's also possible to do direct inhale with these bowls... Remove the glass stopper and cover this with your thumb, load the herb in using the straw method above (or with a SQP mini if you prefer), gently flatten it to ensure it's not going to fall out the bowl, pop the glass joint in your mouth and the Twist Housing over the chamber end... then inhale!

For use as a hybrid bowl, load the herb into the Microdose Bowl then allow the setup to heat soak with the housing placed on top for around 20-30 seconds before inhaling. We should say here, that this is completely optional and the bowls were initially designed simply to increase the speed of thermal extraction, allowing for easy one hit extractions at higher temperatures and to allow the housing to be run at lower set temperatures on the PID controller, however they do also provide this option for hybrid use if desired. For hybrid function it's best to ensure that the basket screen inside the bowl is pushed down no further than the bottom of the injector housing when in situ. If you have the screen set lower then the glass around the screen which holds your herb will not be properly heated to the same level as the glass higher up.

The basket screen inside the bowl is adjustable so you can push it down further if you want to load it with a little bit more, or leave it placed at the top to allow for easy microdosing. Ensure you don't push the basket screen down past the bowl section and into the carbed part of the bowl as they can be difficult to retrieve again! We also suggest picking up a SQP Mini for microdosing as it's much easier to load your herb in without any spillage than when using the larger SQP provided in the Ruby/Thermal Twist kit.

Like the original Thermal Twist and Ruby Twist bowls, the Microdose Diffuser Bowl has a 14.4mm carbed port with glass stopper on the side to allow for easy clearance of vapor.

Compatible with:

Settings

  • As mentioned the temperature should be set lower on the PID when using the Microdose Diffuser Bowl
  • For the Thermal Twist we suggest running it between 250C-300C or 482F-572F, we tend to use this setup at around 285C or 536F
  • For the Ruby Twist we suggest running it between 240C-290C or 464F-554F, we tend to use it at around 275C or 527F.
  • However as we always say, use these temperatures as guidelines and use it as you enjoy it! But err on the side of caution initially to avoid overheating and combusting your herb!

Included

  • 1 x Thermal Twist Microdose Diffuser Bowl (available with 14.mm or 18.8mm male joints) - 0.07g - 0.2g capacity (approx.)
  • 1 x 14.4mm Male Joint Glass Stopper
  • 3 x Stainless Steel Basket Screens (one installed)

Cheap and good
Color: Black, Color: Black
I chose the color black and it gives a really nice look, especially with the multicolor led lights around the keys. It is very easy to clean and you can shut off the keyboard to prevent any mess with the iPad. The magnet is very nice and keeps the keyboard in place. The keyboard doesn’t easily slip or anything so it holds the iPad very well. Only bad thing is that over time the iPad begins to scrape off the pain and it leaves your keyboard with some white spots all over :/ but if looks isn’t something that you care about, this is the keyboard for you. Don’t use it for gaming because there is a delay in functionality when you press a key and then try to use the pad. Also, you have to press the keys a bit harder than the usual keyboard. But for the price? This is a great item! Definitely worth my money

Works great
Color: Purple
Works just pretty good. My only complaint would be that it can turn on the screen when closed. I put it in my backpack and went throughout my school day only to find out later the battery had drained because the screen would light up and stay on. Did not have this issue with other covers. Easy work around is to just do a complete shutoff or maybe change the settings before putting in away. I just had the habit of keeping mine on because of frequent use in back to back classes.
