Precision Powertrain Engineering

A closer look at the motor, controller, and energy delivery architecture

At the heart of the YUME HAWK Pro resides a 250W brushless hub motor operating on a high-voltage 60V platform. This elevated voltage architecture reduces current draw for any given power output, which in turn minimizes resistive heat buildup and enhances overall system efficiency. The brushless design eliminates mechanical commutator wear, extending service intervals and delivering consistent torque across the speed band. Riders can expect responsive acceleration from a standstill and reliable cruising performance whether traveling at 15.5 mph (25 km/h) under EU specification or reaching up to 28 mph (45 km/h) in the US configuration.

The electronic speed controller employs sine-wave modulation technology, producing notably quieter operation compared to traditional square-wave controllers. This translates into a near-silent glide at low to medium speeds, letting you enjoy the ambient sounds of your environment. Throttle response has been calibrated to offer progressive power delivery — gentle at initial twist for precise low-speed maneuvering, then building confidently as you open up for faster travel.

Sine-Wave Controller

Ultra-quiet operation with refined, progressive throttle mapping for precise control at every speed.

60V Architecture

Higher voltage reduces resistive losses, keeping the motor cooler and more efficient over extended rides.

Brushless Reliability

No brushes to replace. Minimal friction, reduced heat, and extended motor lifespan for years of service.

Endurance-Centric Battery Design

High-density lithium cells and intelligent energy management for extraordinary range

Range anxiety becomes a thing of the past with the YUME HAWK Pro. Its substantial 31–40 Ah lithium battery pack provides enough stored energy to cover up to 60 miles (96 km) on a single charge under optimal conditions. Real-world range will vary based on rider weight, terrain, speed mode, and ambient temperature, but even under mixed conditions, the HAWK Pro consistently delivers segment-leading distance capability. The 60V configuration means the battery operates at a lower current for equivalent power output, reducing stress on individual cells and contributing to longer cycle life.

Charging is straightforward: plug in overnight for 8 to 10 hours and wake up to a fully replenished pack. The integrated Battery Management System (BMS) continuously monitors cell voltage, temperature, and charge balance, safeguarding against overcharge, over-discharge, and short-circuit events. This intelligent oversight preserves cell health across hundreds of charge cycles.

Full Suspension & Rider Comfort

Engineered to absorb road imperfections and deliver a fatigue-free ride

Urban terrain is rarely perfect. Cobblestones, expansion joints, and uneven asphalt can quickly fatigue a rider on a rigid-frame scooter. The YUME HAWK Pro addresses this with a comprehensive full suspension system that actively dampens shocks at both the front and rear. This dual-suspension architecture works to isolate the deck from ground disturbances, significantly reducing vibration transfer to the rider's legs and upper body. The result is a plush, controlled ride that keeps you fresh even after extended trips.

Beyond the suspension, the HAWK Pro features an ergonomically optimized deck with a generous standing platform. The width and length have been carefully proportioned to accommodate a natural stance, reducing foot fatigue. Combined with the suspension's travel, the scooter maintains composure over speed bumps, driveway lips, and light off-road paths such as packed gravel or park trails.

Dual Suspension

Front and rear shock absorption smooths out rough roads and minimizes rider fatigue significantly.

Spacious Deck

Wide, ergonomic standing platform supports a natural stance and reduces foot fatigue on long rides.

Vibration Dampening

Multi-point isolation reduces high-frequency buzz, protecting joints and enhancing ride quality.

Hydraulic Disc Braking Authority

Confident, modulated stopping power when every foot counts

Stopping power is non-negotiable at any speed. The YUME HAWK Pro is equipped with a hydraulic disc braking system that provides decisive, linear stopping performance. Unlike cable-actuated brakes that can feel spongy or require frequent tension adjustments, the hydraulic setup uses incompressible brake fluid to transmit lever force directly to the calipers. This results in firmer lever feel, superior modulation, and consistent pad-to-rotor engagement across a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions.

The disc rotor design promotes rapid heat dissipation, combating brake fade during repeated stops such as in dense urban traffic or on long descents. Combined with the scooter's regenerative braking capability (where available), the system offers a layered approach to deceleration — mechanical discs for assertive stopping and regen for energy recapture during gentle slowdowns.

Intelligent Connectivity Suite

Stay informed, in control, and seamlessly connected via app and Bluetooth

Modern mobility demands modern intelligence. The YUME HAWK Pro integrates Bluetooth connectivity with a dedicated companion app, transforming your smartphone into a comprehensive dashboard. Monitor real-time speed, remaining battery capacity, trip distance, and system diagnostics directly from your device. The app interface provides a clean, intuitive layout designed for at-a-glance readability while riding.

Onboard sensor capabilities further enhance the riding experience. The scooter can detect and log ride metrics, allowing you to review past trips, track efficiency trends, and optimize your riding style for maximum range. Firmware updates delivered via the app ensure your HAWK Pro stays current with the latest performance refinements and feature additions over time.

App Control

Monitor speed, battery, and diagnostics in real time from your smartphone with the companion app.

Bluetooth 4.2

Stable, low-energy connection keeps your data synced without draining your phone's battery.

Sensor Integration

Onboard sensors log ride metrics for post-trip review and efficiency optimization.

Foldable Design & Lightweight Durability

Seamless transition from ride mode to carry mode in seconds

Portability is a cornerstone of practical urban electric scooters, and the YUME HAWK Pro excels here with its intuitive folding mechanism. A reinforced hinge at the base of the steering column allows the stem to collapse securely against the deck, reducing the scooter's footprint for storage in tight spaces — under a desk, inside a closet, or in the trunk of a car. The locking latch engages with an audible click, providing tactile confirmation that the fold is secure.

The frame itself is constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, striking an optimal balance between structural rigidity and weight efficiency. This material choice resists corrosion, handles the stresses of daily use, and keeps the overall scooter weight manageable for carrying up stairs or onto public transit. With a maximum load capacity of 278 lbs (126 kg), the HAWK Pro accommodates a wide spectrum of riders without compromising frame integrity.

Weather-Ready Construction

Engineered to perform in variable conditions with confidence

The YUME HAWK Pro features a waterproof-rated construction that shields critical electronic components from rain, splashes, and road spray. Sealed connectors, gasketed enclosures, and conformally coated circuit boards work in concert to prevent moisture ingress. While no electric scooter is designed for full submersion, the HAWK Pro handles typical urban wet-weather scenarios — light to moderate rain, damp roads, and puddle splashes — without compromising electrical integrity. This weather resilience extends the scooter's usable days per year, ensuring you're not sidelined by an unexpected shower.

Why the YUME HAWK Pro Stands Apart

A candid look at what sets this scooter ahead of conventional alternatives

Many electric scooters in the market force compromises — you either get respectable range or a lightweight frame, strong acceleration or smooth ride quality. The YUME HAWK Pro reconciles these trade-offs through its 60V high-voltage architecture. By operating at a higher voltage, the system achieves greater energy efficiency, enabling the impressive 60-mile (96 km) range without resorting to an excessively heavy battery pack. The full suspension and hydraulic disc brakes — features often reserved for premium-tier models — come standard, elevating both comfort and safety.

The foldable aluminum frame ensures the scooter integrates into multimodal commutes: ride to the train station, fold, carry aboard, and deploy at your destination. This flexibility, paired with smart connectivity and weather-resistant engineering, makes the HAWK Pro a versatile tool for daily transportation, not merely a recreational gadget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common inquiries about the HAWK Pro

What real-world range can I expect from the YUME HAWK Pro?

Under mixed riding conditions — moderate speed, varied terrain, and a rider weight around 165 lbs (75 kg) — most users report between 40 and 55 miles (65–88 km) of practical range. The maximum 60-mile (96 km) figure is achievable under optimal conditions: flat terrain, ECO mode, warm ambient temperature, and a lighter rider. Factors such as aggressive acceleration, frequent stops, cold weather, and hilly routes will reduce total range. The large 31–40 Ah battery provides ample capacity to comfortably handle daily commutes without midday recharging.

How does the US version differ from the EU version?

The primary difference lies in the firmware-governed top speed. The US-spec model is configured to reach up to 28 mph (45 km/h), while the EU-spec version complies with regional regulations at 15.5 mph (25 km/h). All other hardware — motor, battery, suspension, braking system, and frame — remains identical across both versions. Riders should always adhere to local traffic laws and speed limits regardless of their scooter's capability.

Is the battery removable for charging?

The YUME HAWK Pro features an integrated battery pack built into the deck for optimal weight distribution and structural rigidity. Charging is performed via the external charging port using the included charger — simply plug in while the scooter is folded or upright. The integrated design enhances waterproofing and eliminates the wear associated with frequent battery removal and reconnection.

What maintenance does the hydraulic disc brake system require?

Hydraulic disc brakes are relatively low-maintenance compared to cable-actuated systems. Periodically inspect brake pads for wear (typically every 300–500 miles depending on riding style) and replace as needed. The hydraulic fluid should be checked annually and bled if lever feel becomes spongy. The sealed hydraulic lines are not affected by dirt or water ingress, contributing to consistent performance in variable weather.

Can the scooter handle light rain or wet roads?

Yes. The YUME HAWK Pro is constructed with IPX4-rated waterproofing, meaning it withstands splashes from any direction. Light to moderate rain and damp road conditions are within its operational envelope. However, we recommend avoiding riding through deep standing water or submerging any part of the scooter. After riding in wet conditions, wipe down the scooter and ensure the charging port is dry before connecting the charger.

How does the companion app enhance the riding experience?

The companion app connects via Bluetooth to provide a real-time dashboard displaying current speed, battery percentage, estimated remaining range, trip distance, and system status. You can also review ride history, track total mileage over time, and receive firmware updates that may introduce new features or performance optimizations. The app does not require an active connection to ride — the scooter functions fully independently.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Enchanting
Format: Kindle
"Queen of Roses" by Briar Boleyn is a delightful and refreshing reimagining of the classic tale of King Arthur, with a captivating twist that places the spotlight on Morgan, a character who has often been overshadowed in traditional retellings. Boleyn's creative decision to shift the narrative perspective to Morgan breathes new life into the story, offering readers an intriguing and compelling look at the Arthurian world from an entirely different angle. One of the most commendable aspects of this book is its incorporation of Fae elements, which adds an enchanting layer of magic and mystery to the already familiar Arthurian setting. Boleyn skillfully weaves the world of the Fae into the narrative, creating a captivating backdrop against which the events of the story unfold. This addition not only adds depth to the world-building but also provides ample opportunities for twists and turns that keep readers thoroughly engrossed. However, while the book boasts numerous strengths, it does have one noticeable flaw: the characterization of Morgan. While it is reasonable to create a flawed and complex protagonist, it appears that at times, Morgan's character becomes overly difficult and hard to relate to. Her persistently negative perception of one of the main male characters, who is a potential love interest, despite his efforts to support and assist her, may come across as somewhat irrational and could test the patience of some readers. Striking a balance between a strong, independent character and one who can recognize genuine support and affection could have enhanced the overall reader experience. Nonetheless, the allure of "Queen of Roses" lies in its innovative approach to the Arthurian legend and its skillful blending of fantasy elements into a familiar narrative. Boleyn's evocative prose draws readers into a world where magic, destiny, and fate entwine, leaving us eager to uncover the mysteries that unfold within the pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An action-packed dark romantasy
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! Queen of Roses is an Arthurian-inspired dark romantasy that is the first book in the Blood of Fae series. The story follows Morgan, the princess of Camelot who is rumored to be part fae. Fueled by prejudiced hatred and a mistrust of fae blood, Morgan’s abusive father strips her of her birthright and hands it to her half-brother, Arthur. Instead of becoming queen, Morgan is commanded to join the temple of the goddesses when she comes of age. However, Arthur turns into a psychopathic, power-hungry, fae-hating king as he ages. He develops malevolent plans and commands Morgan to find an ancient weapon with legendary power. Although Morgan is wary of Arthur’s intentions, she embraces the opportunity to go on a journey and potentially change her fate. The story picks up from there and we follow Morgan on her quest to find the ancient relic. It’s full of high stakes adventure, mystery, tension, banter, forced proximity, hidden magic, self discovery, and betrayal. This first installment of the series intricately develops the world building and character development. There’s little romance in this book, but it is evident that it is a slow burn that will continue to develop throughout the remainder of the series. Overall, I loved the world building, the epic fantasy, Morgan’s journey of self discovery, and all of the twists and turns that set the stage for the future installments. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.

Not a bad start
Format: Kindle
3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.
