Master Books' story-based language arts curriculum, Language Lessons for a Living Education Level 4, helps fourth grade level students master writing strong and descriptive paragraphs. They will learn story elements, the eight parts of speech, letter writing, and much more!Complete with fun, full-color worksheets and the continued story of Claire and Micah, Level 4 keeps students engaged and excited to learn more!
This language arts series adapts Charlotte Mason ideas for the modern homeschool student, complete with character-building themes. Each quarter has five stories, two picture studies (one of which is Bible-based), and two poems (one of which is a Psalm). Using the spelling words and the Dictionary Worksheets, students will create their very own dictionary as they move week by week through the material.
A helpful and detailed daily schedule:
DAY 1: Focus on a short story, poem, picture study, select Bible verses
DAY 2 & 3: Writing topics such as grammar and punctuation
DAY 4: Reading from 101 Favorite Stories of the Bible, Scripture copywork and memorization
DAY 5: Creating your own dictionary with a focus on spelling and vocabulary
Language Lessons for a Living Education Level 4 teaches students to recognize types of verbs and verb agreement, plural pronouns, prefixes, contractions, synonyms, root words and more. Continuing with what the student has learned in Level 3, Book 4 will add to their communication skills. They will review and refine lessons from Level 3 in addition to learning these new skills.
Within the course, students will:
Master state of being verbs, action verbs, and possessive nouns
Review sentences, singular and plural nouns, adjectives and adverbs
Identify abbreviations, proper use of punctuation marks, spelling, root words, compound words, and suffixes
Create their own dictionary with words learned through the course
Learn to create good paragraphs based on structure and comprehension
Develop skills in using the dictionary and a thesaurus for spelling and vocabulary- building
Explore the Scripture, parts of letter writing, copywork, and more!
Scope and sequence, a daily course calendar, and additional learning resources including independent reading lists, spelling words, practice sheets and more are included to help your student master basic concepts. Reviews are also incorporated throughout the course to help them understand and apply what they learn.
Required Course Materials: 101 Favorite Stories of the Bible

Stands up to puppy teeth!
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
I was fostering 2 7-week old puppies that chewed on EVERYTHING! I got these AND a couple of the Kong brand chew toys. These have stood up much better to the puppy teeth than the Kongs did. I throw them in the dishwasher (not every time) and I also have a small straw brush to clean them. They are easy to fill, and once they are done with the treats (PB butter, yogurt, pumpkin, apple sauce etc.), they continue to chew on these. When you throw them, they have a fun bonce. I ended up foster failing one of the puppies, but we still use these often. They still look brand new and I have had them for about 6 months. I got the medium, my dog is about 13 lbs now and the size is perfect for her. The material is strong and I don't hear a peep when she is chewing on it. I would 100% recommend these!

Great toys. Bouncy, chewable long term.
Size: Medium, Size: Medium
We got these for our puppy and to see how they would compare to kongs.
Our dogs love these more than the kongs and so far, with two chewy dogs, they have not destroyed these yet.
They are very bouncy and provide a lot of chasing fun.
We will be buying more and we recommend these.

Durable
Size: Large
Excellent material. I wish the hole was a little smaller to keep the treats in better. Also wish they were a little larger and/or oddly shaped so as not to fit under the sofa. Still totally worth it.

Subtle, great dog toy design!
Size: Large
These things are amazing. Stuff them with peanut butter and treats and freeze them of course, but football spike them across the yard to drive your overly hyped dog nuts! And the hole allows you to safely pry it out of a tug battle , just a great design! And it can bobble across a small living space without getting lost like a ball would. Love it!

Treats fall out way to easy
Size: Large
Kinda sorta awful at holding treats in it, they just fall out without my dog even having to touch it really. I spread peanut butter on the inside of the toy and freeze it..works much better that way, nay, works amazing that way. I got this toy to stimulate his brain, so he’s either much smarter than every other dog or the treats fall out too easy..I believe it’s the ladder.
