This amazing and unique tropical plant is classified as a Lowland, Intermediate, and sometimes even Highland, thanks to its mixed ancestry. It produces striking pale green pitchers with red-brown speckles and a strikingly tall, dark reddish-brown peristome. These pitchers can grow up to a foot, measuring between 25–30 centimeters.
Nepenthes 'Miranda' is a cultivar of a manmade hybrid involving N. maxima and N. northiana.
