A superb Staunton chess set featuring double-weighted Jacob Knight pieces, a mahogany board, and a carry bag - well-crafted, consistent, and great value.

The chess pieces have been expertly crafted from graded sheesham and boxwood, are double-weighted and have excellent balance. They have tall and elegant proportions and have been finished off by hand with a natural polish. The uniformity of the pieces is outstanding; you would be hard-pressed to find any variation in the knights, and you will not find a set with better consistency for the price. A chess piece bag is included.

The chessboard has been manufactured in Europe using sustainable plantation woods. The inlays of mahogany and maple are expertly aligned to create the checkerboard, and then a thin layer of satin varnish seals the board from spills and scuffs.

Please note that the chess piece bags are now produced in a much darker red, and without the tassel end caps.
