Radio Frequency Facial Skin Tightening, is a minimally invasive procedure that tightens the skin and improves tone without any pain or downtime. Radio Frequency (RF) facial treatments work by using heat to trigger collagen and elastin production in the skin’s deeper layers. The results are instant. Your skin will look more supple and lifted. The treatment involves third-generation radio frequency technology that offers a non-invasive, pain-free treatment to help firm skin and boost collagen production.
How does it work? The RF energy penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue where the collagen fibers are embedded. The local heating causes an immediate contraction of the collagen fibers. Fibroblast cells (part of our connective tissue), are stimulated to produce new collagen and elastin fibers. The effect is tighter, smoother, younger-looking skin with a visible ‘lift’.
What is the treatment like? You will have an initial deep cleanse to remove any makeup and skincare products. Each section of the face and neck is treated for 10 minutes. Most treatments last about one hour to an hour and a half.
When can I expect to see results?
Most clients will be able to notice immediate results in the tightness of their skin. More results continue to emerge in the days following the treatment. Skin is remarkably smoother and muscle tone is more visible too. An initial series of 6 monthly treatments are advised. Once this is completed we will discuss your results and advise if additional treatments are desired. Maintenance should be quarterly thereafter.
Are there any side effects? You may experience a bit of pinkness that is usually gone within 30 minutes post-treatment.
