On one menuki there is a branch with still unopened flower, on second one already open flower in a basket used to keep them at home. In other words one branch was removed from a tree and brought home to help remember the feeling of this impressionable spring day. 

Tanto tsuka with jabara ito. Fuchikashira made of shibuichi with shakudo, silver and gold inlay. Soft metal menuki with silver and gold inlay. Good quality samegawa and tight  tsuka maki.
