What is the quality of willow in the Grand Edition? The Grand Edition is crafted from the very best Premium Grade 1 English Willow available in the MRF factory. These clefts are hand-selected for their tight, straight grains (usually 8-12+) and lack of blemishes, representing the highest tier of commercial bats.
What is the sweet spot profile on this bat? The bat features a massive Mid-Middle sweet spot that extends further down the blade than standard bats. Unlike lighter models, the Grand Edition carries a full profile with almost no concaving (wood removal) at the back, ensuring power even on off-center hits.
Is the MRF Genius Grand Edition ready to play? No, this is a professional-grade willow product and requires a thorough knocking-in process. We recommend 6-8 hours of manual knocking with a mallet and oiling to compress the soft fibers and prepare the thick edges for the impact of a hard leather ball.
