Who is Jonathan Stuart?

He was a pacifist before he was civil rights activist. He was a civil rights activist before he was a reformer. A reformer before he was a pioneer of cannabis reform in the entertainment industry. From art, to theatre, to being in a jug band, to forming his own bands, to being the man behind some of New York City’s finest underground #hiphop artists, Jonathon Stuart is a force to be reckoned with.

And, Jon Stuart is our founder, who was jailed on April 1st in 1964 for smoking pot. It was a setup for being a conscientious objector which was not popular in those days. He was sentenced to two years and throw into the #NYC jail system for a quarter of an ounce of marijuana.. for personal use. A year later he was released on good behavior and continued his journey in the entertainment business and never looked back again.
