ARIES AdvantEDGE side bars do away with the common, rounded look of other side bars, nerf bars and running boards, featuring an angular, eight-sided tube profile and powder-coated all-aluminum construction. The angular edges provide a clear-cut, uncompromising accent for the look of today's trucks. Made from 5-1/2" wide, eight-sided, extruded aluminum tubing, AdvantEDGE running boards are strong, lightweight and impervious to rust, offering a solid step that is built to face the elements and outlast them. They also come with die-cast aluminum end caps and a stamped aluminum tread. The aluminum treads provide a long-lasting, non-skid stepping surface that will not crack or fade in the sun. ARIES AdvantEDGE side bars are also marked for their easy, custom-fit installation. They feature the ARIES VersaTrac mounting system with brackets that are made from powder-coated steel and built for specific vehicles. This particular set of custom running boards fits specific years of the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon (see application info to verify compatibility). The high-strength steel brackets mount using pre-existing holes, and the aluminum running boards attach to the brackets with heavy-duty hardware. The VersaTrac mounting system makes installation simple and customizable, allowing the side bars to be swapped out at any time with other side steps or running boards that use the VersaTrac system. Setting yourself apart is simple with the ARIES AdvantEDGE series. In addition to these truck side steps, we also offer the AdvantEDGE bull bar and AdvantEDGE headache rack, featuring the same all-aluminum construction and eight-sided tube profile. For a fully customized look to match your pickup, AdvantEDGE side bars are available in two finish options, including carbide black powder coat and chrome powder coat.

Great aesthetic and easy assembly, but lacking in all-day comfort

Pros:
Simple Assembly: It took less than 45 minutes to build. The instructions are straightforward, and all necessary tools are included. Getting the armrests aligned takes a bit of finagling, but it's manageable.
Appearance & Shipping: It arrived well-packaged with no damage. It has a sleek, modern look that adds a great aesthetic to an office space, and the height adjustment works perfectly.
Cons:
Lack of Support: The comfort level falls short. At 5'11", I found the back offers no lumbar support, and the backrest isn't tall enough to serve as a headrest.
Disappointing Armrests: The armrests are mostly metal with a thin, flimsy layer of faux leather. If you live in a colder climate or a poorly insulated home, the metal frames get quite cold to the touch.
Limited Padding: The seat cushion is minimal. After about 3 hours of sitting, it starts to feel very firm and uncomfortable.
Verdict:
You ultimately get what you pay for. I would not recommend this as a primary desk chair for an 8-hour workday. However, it is an affordable, sharp-looking option if you just need a decorative accent piece, a guest chair, or budget-friendly seating for a conference room.

Recommend. Great for Home office

I am very pleased with this chair. I’m working on building my home office and it’s important to me and have a look that is comforting and clean looking the chair was easy to put together. Didn’t take very long at all. It’s sturdy. It rises up and down to fit your height and it’s comfortable. It was a great purchase. I’m glad I got it.

Seller Stall Tactics

My chair arrived last Wednesday, but I only assembled it today. It looks overwhelming as you take all of the pieces out of the box, but it is straightforward to assemble. Took me less than 45 minutes start to finish. Assembled, the chair is really nice. Many reviews talk about the incessant squeaking. I'm guessing it has to do with how they assembled the chair. Mine does not make a sound. The seat is very firm, it may be uncomfortable for some people; I'll have a better idea after I use it for awhile. I gave it 4 stars because the plastic lever to raise/lower the chair, the underside broke off in 3 pieces! Fortunately I was able to fit the pieces back, and used liquid Gorilla Glue all over the broken seams. So far it's holding up well. Visually the chair is beautiful.
UPDATED 6/1/20 - I originally gave this chair 4 stars. As you can see in my original post, I took one star off for a crucial piece that was broken inside the box. I read reviews where customers who experienced issues were not getting assistance from the seller. I am now in that same issue. After I initially e-mailed the seller regarding a replacement part for that one piece, they are repeatedly e-mailing me asking me is this part broken, is that part also broken. My last e-mail to them stated that I have explained the issue in detail multiple times and if I am sent one more e-mail asking if another part is broken, I will know this is a stall tactic. I have an e-mail this morning asking if the gas lift is broken. I've contacted Amazon to contact the seller with the understanding that if they stall Amazon as well, a request will be made for a full refund. I am NOT the one to play with when it comes to shady customer service. If I could give negative stars based on the seller alone, I would.

Well made value chair

Great value and well constructed. Easy to assemble. It’s very light and maneuverable. It’s reasonably comfortable for occasional use although I would prefer something with more support if I were using this every day. For my needs, however, it’s perfect. Adjustments are easy – especially height, changing from tilting to rigid. I also appreciate the swing up arms, which was a feature that I particularly liked with this chair.

Comfortable and Affordable

I normally dislike chairs like this, but with the budget I had I had to go with something more affordable. It is perfect and love how the handles go up to make a little bit more flush with the desk giving me some more room. The cushion is amazing, lumbar support is perfect for me. Very stable and I sometimes almost catch myself reclining back and wanting to fall asleep. Quality sturdy materials make it easy to attach any additional neck accessories to the chair. 10/10 would recommend.
