In a future where a breakthrough technology has enabled the extraction of immense resources from the Sun, the result has been a rapid acceleration towards its catastrophic demise. Players assume the roles of powerful corporations, all ostensibly 'cooperating' to save humanity from the impending disaster they caused. The mission is to construct the Starship Interstellar, preserve as many people as possible in hibernation, and locate a habitable planet.
However, these tasks are fraught with difficulty, and each corporation is driven to be the first and the best. The temptation to exploit the Sun a little more to gain an edge over competitors is strong, even though it will hasten the Sun’s transformation into a nova.
