Este trabajo es un sano y necesario ejercicio de acudir a las fuentes del pasado para dilucidar aspectos poco conocidos de un personaje tan relevante para la historia de la iglesia católica contemporánea, y en particular, para la historia de los movimientos eclesiales, como lo es el padre José Kentenich, fundador del Movimiento Schoenstatt.  Polémicas recientes animaron al autor a abordar con la responsabilidad y profundidad aspectos claves de la vida del fundador y del Movimiento, con miras a alcanzar la verdadera dimensión de lo que ocurrió en la Visitación realizada a Schoenstatt por el padre Sebastian Tromp S.J. entre los años 1951 y 1953.
