Krug werd in 1843 in Reims opgericht door Joseph Krug. Omdat hij begreep dat de ware essentie van champagne het plezier zelf is, was het zijn droom om elk jaar de allerbeste champagne te maken die hij kon bieden, ongeacht de jaarlijkse klimaatschommelingen. Door veel aandacht te besteden aan het karakter van de wijngaard, de individualiteit van elk perceel en zijn wijn te respecteren, en een uitgebreide bibliotheek met reservewijnen uit vele verschillende jaren te bouwen, kon Joseph Krug zijn droom vervullen. Met een zeer originele benadering van het maken van champagne, besloot hij verder te gaan dan het idee van vintage om elk jaar de meest genereuze uitdrukking van champagne te creëren. Zo richtte hij een huis op waarin alle champagnes van hetzelfde niveau zijn. Zes generaties van de familie Krug hebben deze droom in stand gehouden en de visie en kennis van de oprichter verrijkt. Krug Rosé is geïnspireerd op de droom van de vijfde generatie van de Krug-familie om een rosé-champagne te bedenken die nog niet bestond en die elk jaar opnieuw zou kunnen worden gecreëerd. Elke editie van Krug Rosé bestendigt deze erfenis. Krug Rosé is verrassend, want het vervangt een goede rode wijn aan tafel door brio. Deze champagne is een delicate mix van wijnen van het jaar met wijnen van geselecteerde percelen van de enorme reservebibliotheek van het huis, aangevuld met traditioneel gemacereerde Pinot Noir om structuur en kruiden toe te voegen. De kleur van de Krug Rose is bleek roze met een gouden weerschijn. De geur is uitmuntend wat een klasse. Mooie nuances van rozenbottel, moerbei, pioen, peper, roze grapefruit en wat gedroogde ham. Wat een leuk weetje is als u de app download van Krug kunt u de unieke code op de achterkant van het etiket scannen en zo komt u te weten welke wijnen en vintage jaren in de fles zijn verwerkt. De smaak is delicaat met heerlijke indrukken van rood fruit, citrus schil en noten en gebrand toast. Echt een plaatje van een Rose Champagne deze van Krug. Precise, with super focused controls.
Color me impressed. I wanted to upgrade from an old Oster brand scale. It was a workhorse, and I still use it, but I prefer this Maestri House scale for coffee and tea. I compared them side-by-side, and their measurements are near identical. I've abused my old one, so I would imagine the M H to be more reliably calibrated, although the differences in readings while set to Grams was .01, so, for me, inconsequential, and may well have been user error as I had no control to measure them against.
Here's what I like and prefer about the Maestri House S1: I love that it is rechargeable with readily available USB-C cords. I can take it with me, and not have to worry about swapping batteries. I love the silicone band that protects the platform. It is easy to clean, and doesn't seem to interfere with measurements. The scale is very sensitive. I could add or remove a literal pinch of ground coffee and it would register on the scale. The digital readout is bright enough to easily see. The controls could not be simpler: tap once to Tare, twice to change the unit of measurement. You can set it to liquid or dry ingredients as well. I also love that I can switch between grams and ounces without having to remeasure. Most scales do that these days, but I appreciate it. The timer is simple and easy to control--a very nice inclusion. Also, since the buttons are VERY sensitive, I barely have to touch them, so the scale stays perfectly still, and they work with wet hands.
This device is focused, designed to be especially effective for making coffee or tea. It is compact, which makes it the perfect size for cups, mugs, filter baskets, etc. I wouldn't use it for baking or other kitchen tasks. Ok, I WOULD try to use it for that--I just wouldn't recommend it. It's too small for bowls and trays, because it wasn't designed for those. It is PERFECT for brewing and drink mixology. Also, I prefer to keep scales like these designated to weights under 5 pounds--let the Oster handle the big stuff.
Overall, I think it's a fantastic little scale. I have had no reliability issues. Will it hold up over time? I think so. Plus, it looks great in my coffee corner. Satin black is kind of my theme.

Great tiny scale!
I love this scale, though I don’t use it in the way it was intended. It’s designed to assist in making optimal coffee drinks. I just needed a scale with accurate fractional ounces readings. I use it for weighing ingredients for baking, or even light postal packages. It seems accurate, and it very easy to use. I keep it in manual mode, but it also has espresso and pour over modes. It can display weights in ounces or grams, and it has a tare function. The buttons are touch sensitive, so you don’t have to press hard. There is a beep when you touch a button, but the sound can be turned off.
I’m a little confused on the charging function. I don’t usually like rechargeable devices, because it makes them disposable, and also because it means they are dead when I want to use them. So I was pleased when it seemed to work while plugged into my fast wall charger. The I read the manual which said A) the scale cannot be used while charging, and B) never use a fast charging power supply. Maybe they’re just trying to protect their liability. I’ll try to be more obedient in the future. The manual also says not to place objects weighing more than 2000g on it, to avoid damaging it. I violated that rule as well and it still seems to be functional.
Overall, this is a great, feature-packed little scale, and worthy of someone better than I, who will actually use it to its full potential without breaking the rules.

Wonderful addition
Maestri House makes some great devices for the kitchen. Currently this scale is my 4th item in my MH collection. The scale fits perfectly on my espresso machine and provides very accurate measurements. The buttons respond quickly and the read out is fabulous for those weary mornings when my eyes are trying to open up. The other great thing MH does with their gear is the ease of use options. I flip a switch, place the scale, hit the buttons and the scale works to perfection. Wonderful addition, as always, for another device in my MH collection.

Great scale that needs some improvements to be perfect

Very accurate scale, looks good in white, timer works nicely and I do like the concept of the ratio conversion. Shown in photos with 0 measurement drift over time, even without the silicone mat.
To make this the best scale in the price range, I would change:
- The auto timer function. Timing currently stops if you pick up the brew to swirl; you must completely restart the process if you do happen to pick it up. I would change that to only stop on user input (pressing a button).
- The ratio conversion. Why offer XX.0 precision if you can only change the ratio in whole amounts? I'd suggest offering 0.1 increments, selectable with +/- buttons instead of cycling through.
- The silicone mat is not well affixed and slides around. Kind of useless as-is and I just keep it off. I would wrap the whole thing around the measurement platform, similar to how the Greater Goods scale does it, to really keep it secure.
It's not perfect, but for the price, it's a 4.5/5 for me. Rounding up to 5 since a 4 is considered "bad" by today's online rating standards.

IMO, a filter coffee lovers best scale option on a budget. Solid grade A choice.

I have two other .1mg "coffee" or food scales that I used regular for pour overs. I saw this has 4x display on real time flow rate, g/mg weight, timer, and grounds to water ratio for a solid price and purchased this after reading some reviews. One of my scales has these features, but the workflow on this scale just clicked a ton better for me.
The beep isn't super loud annoying which is a major relief, as I just couldn't keep sound on on my other scale due to that trigger honestly. I tried brew mode immediately and will now only use that when making a pour over. Loved the beep alerting when I finally hit the proper ratio and I like it keeps my final info on screen after the brew for my study. I can actually practice my technique now and not have split attention as much.
This is still compact, but fits a larger carafe well whereas my other scale is a better fit for the espresso machine. The display is clear and buttons have a slight tactile sensation from the print, but are still the capacitive touch based style. I tested it with weights and it is my most accurate scale, it hit the .1g accurately every time or at worst would fluctuate back and forth quickly from the true value (more than enough for me to trust it). It updates and tares from power on fairly fast, it reacts fast enough to touch to not make me pause much.
My nitpicks are that the front clear matte plastic isn't quite uniform flat viewed at an off angle giving it a cheaper look, but that doesn't affect functionality at all and truth is, it really was very affordable for the feature set I feel.
The second nitpick was that the scale's mat does not grip well or fit securely over prompting it to move around easily. For this I had to modify using some rubberized grip tape on the surface of scale underneath the mat itself. Now it doesn't slide from vibration and if any pressure down it doesn't slip. I could have removed it totally, but it is attractive and useful once stabilized. With that modification done, I can fully recommend this scale for filter coffee lovers at any price. Great product, hopefully lasts me a long time.
