Over Contadi Castaldi

Contadi Castaldi: een naam die synoniem staat voor kwaliteit en innovatie in de wijnindustrie. Dit gerenommeerde wijndomein, gelegen in de prachtige regio Franciacorta, is beroemd om zijn voortreffelijke wijnproductie en zijn toewijding aan vakmanschap. Het verhaal van Contadi Castaldi vindt zijn oorsprong in de herbestemming van een oude steenfabriek. Vittorio Moretti kocht het pand, vooral vanwege de jeugdherinneringen van zijn vrouw Mariella aan deze fabriek. De renovatie van de steenfabriek resulteerde in een prachtige wijnmakerij met een oppervlakte van 7.000 vierkante meter.

Vinificatie

De gisting vindt gedurende 20 dagen plaats in roestvrijstalen vaten, met daaropvolgend een gedeeltelijke malolactische gisting. De eerste rijpingsperiode van 7 maanden vindt plaats in zowel stalen tanks als barriques. Na de eerste rijpingsperiode wordt de wijn gedurende een periode van 20 tot 26 maanden op droesem gelaten.
