Haleiwa SS T-shirt Antraciet van Sunray Sportswear. Sunray T-shirts hebben een traditionele pasvorm geïnspireerd door het gevoel van de jaren '50. Ontspannen met een reguliere pasvorm. De kraag, rib-ontwerp en stoffen zijn ook traditioneel. 260 g. Gemaakt in Japan.

Alle Sunray T-shirts worden gemaakt in Japan. Japanse kledingproductie is waarschijnlijk de beste ter wereld. Ze worden gemaakt op een antieke rondbreimachine. Deze machines werden gebruikt voordat de productie veel meer gemechaniseerd werd, waar productievolume voorrang kreeg op kwaliteit. Deze antieke machines kunnen slechts 1 meter per uur produceren (een t-shirt heeft ongeveer 1,2 meter nodig). De machine verwerkt het katoen in een buis op slechts 24 toeren per minuut en maakt het mogelijk om een T-shirt te produceren dat geen zijnaad heeft. Het trage toerental betekent dat het katoen zacht en zonder enige vorm van spanning wordt neergelegd. Geen spanning en geen zijnaad resulteert in een kledingstuk dat bijna nooit zijn vorm verliest. Het langzame breien en het nauwgezette proces van het produceren van een T-shirt betekent dat elk Sunray T-shirt meer dan 1,5 uur kost om te vervaardigen.

De fabrikant die de Sunray producten maakt, bestaat sinds 1926 en is al 3 generaties in dezelfde familie. Ze hebben ooit uniformen gemaakt voor het Japanse Keizerlijke Paleis.

For $14 for 8.7 square feet, this was more than enough to cover the important parts of the trunk of my 944. You DON'T need a roller to apply this, just strong hands and a well prepped surface. I vacuumed, lightly washed, then used 90% alcohol to clean the surface before applying. I could have used more and covered every inch, but there is diminishing returns in doing so (especially on a budget, or with a lower wattage sound system in my opinion). If this stuck as well as it did for me in a 45° garage, then it should stick just fine for you too. I will say, it is a little cheap feeling, but for the price I can't complain. There is an audible difference when knocking on the panels this material is applied to. I'm not a professional though, and if you're an audiophile, there are better options (but prepare to empty your wallet). Not sure I would do an entire vehicle with this material, but it is a great supplement.
