De Base Unit heeft een handle plate met een activatiehandvat dat in hoogte verstelbaar is en ook verkrijgbaar is voor linkshandigen, zodat je in een noodgeval altijd snel bij de hendel kunt om de airbags te activeren. De Vario Base Unit is ontwikkeld om de enorme krachten die vrijkomen bij een lawine te weerstaan.De Base Unit wordt geleverd met een opritsbare hoes die ruimte biedt aan een schep en probe, zodat minimalisten de Base Unit kunnen gebruiken als een volledig operationele, maar superlichte en dunne veiligheidsrugzak. De tas kan ook gecombineerd worden met divers ABS zip-on bags, die in volume variëren van 8 tot 55 liter.
Voor optimaal draagcomfort heeft de ABS Base Unit een heupband, ergonomische schouderbanden en een in hoogte verstelbare borstband.
De Small versie van de ABS Vario Base Unit is gemaakt voor mensen met een ruglengte tot 49 centimeter (gemeten van de bovenkant van de heup tot de bovenkant van de schouder).

Good design, but inconsistent photos. I think I got a dull-colored sample.
Color: Walnut Wood
Good, but seeing a lot of inconsistent user photos. Some have extra racks or a little knob for cables. Some mount with the bracket pointing downward (you can reverse it if you want) and with two screws.
Also, the block I got is a dull poopy brown instead of the bright & vibrant brown on the photos of the product page & box. Understandable, I suppose-- given the nature of wood. Plastic/metal would certainly be more consistent, but I wanted this to match my black & wood aesthetic of my office.
Luck of the draw on the shade of brown that I got, I guess. As nice as this hanger looks and as convenient as it is, the dull color is enough to make me want to just leave my headphones in the desk drawer when not in use. A drawer protects the headphones from dust as well. I don't live at my PC, so having them stowed away when not in use makes more sense for me. I didn't really think this though and got a lemon of a color. Likely a return.
