Borgogno staat voor elegante, klassieke barolo's met een delicate smaak en een uitgesproken terroir concept. Hun kracht is om al jaren vast te houden aan klassieke en traditionele wijze van wijn maken. Het avontuur begon in 1761 toen Bartolomeo Borgogne het wijnhuis oprichtte. Vandaag de dag staat het wijnhuis onder leiding van de familie Farinetti die het landgoed in 2008 kocht. Vanaf toen is er begonnen met biologische conversie, maar nog altijd met dezelfde filosofie. De oogst geschiet volledig met de hand in begin september. Na de persing ondergaat deze Derthona een langdurige houtlagering. Aanvankelijk is de Derthona vol en aangenaam; tonen van grote interesse en verfijning, balans, kracht, finesse en intensiteit komen na verloop van tijd en na verfijning op fles. De rijping, die verplicht is tot 1 september van het volgende oogstjaar, accentueert de aromatische noot, de mineraliteit en de koolwaterstof, belangrijke kenmerken van de Timorasso-variëteit.Borgogno Derthona een "Witte Barolo"
De 2016 is het eerste oogstjaar wat voor de verkoop wordt aangeboden en is hierdoor heel exclusief. In de geur heeft deze wijn indrukken van peer, perzik, acacia bloemen en meidoorn maar ook groene kruiden, vanille, citrus en een honingnoot wat typische is voor deze wijnen. De smaak is complex en vol en volledig op dronk na 5 jaar, maar nu al een feest hoor! Op het pallet heeft deze Borgogno Derthona een frisse mineralige aanzet, veel nuances van appel, peer, limoen, groene kruiden, vanille, verse honing en een beetje witte bloemen. Er zijn zo veel smaken dat het echt een liefhebbers wijn is.Shipping Notes

Good racks, 2 slides instead of 1, smooth action

Pros: 2 sliders instead of just one, smooth action on the slides, slides ‘lock’ into place when retracted
Cons: none for me, other than no option for a single drawer in this size
Needed a wide 2-tier rack to go along with other racks I bought at the same time.
I chose this one primarily because:
- it has 2 sliders, instead of a single one in the middle.
- it’s shorter than others I looked at and I needed to fit some taller items.
- there’s only screws attaching the sliders to the base, which I was going to remove to reduce height.
I really only needed a single 2-tier rack in this size, but it was only offered as a double. Fortunately, the sliders were only affixed to the base with screws and not rivets, so dismantling a single drawer was easy and didn’t require doing any damage.
If you happen to need to do the same, but still have to use the base to clear a lip at the bottom of the cabinet, the metal of the base should be easy to cut in half if you have or have access to the power tools to do so. If you don’t, you could still dismantle 1 rack and just create a new base with some thin wood, then screw both directly to the cabinet.
No complaints, would buy again if it were offered in a single-drawer configuration. Having 2 slides was still definitely a big plus, nonetheless, but I now have half a unit that I don’t necessarily need.
I would note that the sliders don't extend quite as far out as I thought they may, but it's really only ≤1" that I'm talking about and they still extend far enough to vertically pull the rear-most item out, so it's not a biggie, just worth noting.
* I didn’t use the adhesive strip and just threw it away, as I intended to secure it with screws from the beginning. If you’ll be using the base, I’d suggest drilling holes through the base and securing it to the cabinet with screws. The adhesive could well be fine, but it’s asking for trouble to have this loaded with glass and have the adhesive give out. No doubt it would happen when you have 3 things on the stove, the phone is ringing and it was the also week you kinked your back something awful, right?

You magnificent SOB! This is an excellent product - it is exactly as advertised, saves space, is well-built and the measurements are spot-on. There is no assembly and the double-sided tape works perfectly to stabilize the unit. Great product and worth the price.

Sturdy and attractive

Very sturdy. Fit my cabinet perfectly. Would love a version that is just one level too. No assembly required. Solid enough that it stays in place without adhesive. Can finally find spices without taking them all out of the cabinet.
