De Scaia Rossa Corvina wordt gemaakt van uitsluitend corvina druiven van drie tot tien jaar oude stokken op de vruchtbare kalk - en vulkanische heuvels rond Colognola ai Colli in de provincie Verona. De zeer voorzichtig geplukte trossen worden ontsteelt, de druiven even ingeweekt en vervolgens heel voorzichtig geperst. Het sap bevat daardoor de mooiste fruitzuren en heeft weinig bitters als de vergisting plaatsvindt. De aansluitende malolactische omzetting voorziet de uiteindelijke wijn van zijn zijdezachte en romige structuur.

De mooi robijnrood gekleurde wijn heeft in de neus florale aroma’s van rode rozen en violet en aroma's van rode en zwarte bessen, pruimen, bramen en framboos. In de mond is Scaia Rossa Corvina zachtromig met een uitgebalanceerde sappige frisheid en de juiste hoeveelheid tannines. Het maakt hem ideaal om op een doordeweekse dag van te genieten. Hetzij als lekker rood aperitief dan wel als aangename begeleider van voorgerechten, pasta’s, risotto, gegrild vlees, gedroogde worst en kaas uit de bergen.

KLIMAAT & TERROIR: De zomers zijn warm, de winters relatief mild.
De bodems bestaan uit een dunne kalklaag, keien, klei en zand.
VINIFICATIE: De ontsteelde druiven worden even ingeweekt en dan voorzichtig geperst. Het sap bevat daardoor mooie fruitzuren en weinig bitters als de vergisting plaatsvindt.

ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 13,00%
GEUR & SMAAK: Robijnrode wijn met florale aroma’s van rode rozen en viooltjes naast rode en zwarte bessen, pruimen, bramen en framboos. De smaak is zachtromig met een uitgebalanceerde sappige frisheid en zachte tannines.
SERVEERSUGGESTIE: Een aangename begeleider van pasta’s, risotto, gegrild vlees, milde kazen of pizza uit de steenoven.
WEETJE: Corvina Veronese is een blauwe druivensoort die voorkomt in het noordoosten van Italië, in de provincie Veneto. Deze druif vindt zijn oorsprong in Kroatië en is daar (nog steeds) bekend onder de naam Hrvatica.

Can't beat the price if you have smaller dogs

This is my 2nd one, which was bought for my mom's dogs. They absolutely love it when they come to my house. I live that they have to get their nose off the floor to figure it out and that there are more than 1 tube that they have to flip (think about). My only thumbs down isn't a big deal but would be the hard base. The treats fling off this base and can end up anywhere in the room. I think if it wasn't so hard, they wouldn't have to walk away from the activity or have to fight over who get the "reward" (It's usually the other dog waiting to chase where they fly off to). It doesn't flip over unless they run into it which doesn't happen often, although our dogs are all under 15 lbs. Imnsure if a bigger dog were to use this, it wouldn't stand up well and may break. It was easy to put together, and functions very well. Our dogs think this is the most fun toy out of all the interactive togs we have (which is A LOT).
