Castello di Ama Chianti Classico Vigneto Gran Selezione San Lorenzo is een verfijnde en intense rode wijn uit Chianti Classico in Toscane, gemaakt van Sangiovese met een klein deel Merlot en Malvasia Nera. De stijl is elegant en gelaagd met donkere vruchten, mineraliteit en een indrukwekkende balans en bewaarpotentieel.

In het glas schittert de wijn in een diepe robijnrode kleur. In de neus openen aroma’s van zwarte kersen, bramen, grafiet, lavendel, specerijen en crushed rocks zich, met hints van leer en drop. In de mond is hij medium-bodied met zijdezachte tannines, sappig fruit, innerlijke zoetheid en een lange, frisse, minerale afdronk.

Deze gran selezione komt van zorgvuldig geselecteerde oude percelen zoals Bellavista, Casuccia, San Lorenzo en Montebuoni, gevolgd door rijping op eikenhout voor complexiteit en finesse.
