Touriga Nacional is een typisch Portugese druif die je zelden ergens anders zal vinden. Ze geeft intens gekleurde, full-bodied rode wijnen die zowel florale als fruitige aroma's hebben. Door de opvoeding in Franse eiken vaten worden de stevige tannines al wat afgerond en krijgt de wijn een extra laag aroma's zoals chocolade, kaneel en kruidnagel. Een stevige wijn met veel smaak en aangename finish.

Perfect voor typische vleesgerechten in Alentejo-stijl waar het Iberische varkensvlees, olijfolie en knoflook veelvuldig gebruikt worden. Intens en sappig rundvlees zoals entrecote met pepersaus of bearnaise passen er ook goed bij. Ossobuco met rijke tomatensaus of vegetarische pasta met gegrilde groenten.
