Bent Van Looy kwam op 6 mei 2016 met zijn tweede soloplaat Pyjama Days via Excelsior Recordings. Het multitalent* Van Looy heeft zichzelf voor dit album de volledige vrijheid gegeven. Soms wist hij 's ochtends nog niet wat er 's avonds op tape zou staan. Nooit eerder heeft hij zichzelf en de luisteraar zo vertrouwd. Er waait een aangename wind door de tracks, ook nu weer geproduceerd door zijn held Jason Falkner. 

Het gevolg is een album dat gaat over vrijheid. Pyjama Days is het verhaal van iemand die na vele omzwervingen thuis is gekomen om de mensen te vertellen wat er in de wereld te vinden is. Liefde, verdriet, eenzaamheid, kracht, alles, als je maar goed kijkt. Hij overhandigt ons zijn bloemen en zegt: 'Heb de moed om de deur uit te gaan en een tram te nemen die je nog nooit hebt genomen.'

Bent speelt het werk van de nieuwe plaat voor het eerst met band op 8 mei op Here Comes The Summer, de voorjaarseditie van Into The Great Wide Open op Vlieland. Op 10 juni presenteert hij het album in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. 

* Bent Van Looy heeft het moeilijk zich te concentreren op één ding en laat zich in met de schilderkunst, TV-werk en zelfs een eigen radioprogramma met levende dieren op Studio Brussel. Bent is betrokken bij het prestigieuze Franse mode-label Le Mont St Michel met zijn eigen label The Jante Law. Verder ontwerpt hij het etiket voor de wijn Cuvée BVL. Hij werkt muzikaal samen met de Zweed Peter Von Poehl, het Franse Chateau Marmont en blijft ook actief als drummer bij zijn jeugdvrienden Soulwax.

Hij wordt coach bij The Voice van Vlaanderen (2014 én 2016) en neemt de tv-kijker mee op zijn wandelingen in verschillende steden tijdens de rubriek De Wandelaar voor Café Corsari. Ook de Belgische versie van beertje Paddington krijgt de stem van Bent Van Looy. Voor Klara verdiept hij zich in de twee recentste edities van The Original Soundtrack in Franse & Engelse filmmuziek. Daarnaast is Van Looy regelmatig te gast in tv-show De Wereld Draait Door en gaat hij in het programma ‘Bent Spreekt Nederland’ op zoek naar de verschillende dialecten in Nederland.

I have a 13-14 year old dog who is starting to have very frequent accidents in the house despite us taking her outside every couple of hours, she just drinks too much water which doesn’t mesh well with her weakening, old bladder. She tends to have an accident in two areas (the kitchen and right by the front door hallway) so we decided to buy some puppy pads to minimize the mess & aid in cleanup since clearly taking her outside every couple frequently isn’t helping reduce accidents. We chose these because of the size & price, which are both fantastic compared to others. It perfectly fits the two areas she tends to go so we only need to use one per area and to our surprise, she still remembers how to use puppy pads so she adapted quickly. But unfortunately, these don’t hold all of her pee as they are very thin. I just cleaned up the kitchen puppy pad and saw moisture under the pee spot on the pad. So while it does dramatically reduce how much we need to clean up (we were using one paper towel roll every 3 days just for her accidents), we still need to wipe down the floor with pet accident cleaning spray & mop. It’s not that big of an issue but it is still a bit frustrating that they don’t hold fluid well. So keep that in mind if you decide to order these, that you might still need to wipe down the floor under where your puppy/dog pees. We’ll be trying a different brand when we run out of these to see if that’s any better.

My dog loves it
My Aussie loves it and he is a tough chewer as well, so it goes great with his hyper reactive personality. Durability could have been a little better, sometimes I have to take it apart and make sure it’s still in a good position because my dog will pick it up and drop it. With no cushion it did start malfunctioning at about 2 weeks. However, it does still work fine and he loves it even without the movement.
