Ami Paris is in 2011 opgericht door Alexandre Mattiussi in Parijs, een ontwerper gevormd door Givenchy, Marc Jacobs en Dior die vervolgens zijn eigen merk bouwde vanuit een vriendenkring-esthetiek: kleding die goed zit, niet overdreven is en lang meegaat. De denimlijnen van Ami Paris onderscheiden zich door klassieke constructie in onverwachte silhouetten, met als constante het tabac-topstitching als merkhandtekening.

De Ami Paris Wide Fit Cotton Twill Jeans is vervaardigd van 100% katoenen twill, een stevige stof met een diagonale bindingsstructuur die meer body heeft dan standaard denim maar hetzelfde gewicht draagt. In indigo blue is de jeans op zijn meest klassiek: een diepe, onbewerkte indigo die de brede constructie van het silhouet het scherpst laat lezen. De very large fit heeft een klassieke taille met een 31 cm brede pijp onderaan, een silhouet dat dichter bij een brede broek zit dan bij een traditionele jeans maar alle denimldetaillering behoudt. De tabac topstitches lopen langs alle naden en geven het stuk zijn kenmerkende Ami-handtekening. Vijf-zakkenconstructie met denim metalen klinknagels en nikkelkleurige knopen. Een "ami alexandre mattiussi" lederen patch op de rug en ritsluiting completeren het stuk. Gemaakt in Portugal.

De Wide Fit Jeans heeft een very large fit en valt ruim: neem je normale confectiemaat. De brede pijp vereist een aansluitend bovenstuk om de balans te bewaren. Een te wijd T-shirt of een oversized hoodie maakt het silhouet zwaarder dan bedoeld.

Combineer de Ami Paris Wide Fit Jeans Indigo met een wit of ecru aansluitend T-shirt en witte chunky sneakers: het contrast tussen het smalle bovenstuk en de brede pijp is het silhouet dat dit stuk het sterkst tot zijn recht brengt. De tabac topstitching is subtiel genoeg om niet op te vallen van een afstand, maar dichtbij het detail dat dit van een gewone jeans onderscheidt.

Great Everyday Paper Plates for the Price

For around six bucks, getting 100 microwave-safe paper plates like this is a really good deal. Also, they’re actually pretty good quality.
