Vulkanische rhyoliet bevat ronde korreltjes die dode huidcellen verwijderen zonder de huid te beschadigen. De korreltjes van Le Gommage Corps Éclat zijn regelmatiger van structuur. Om de huid te ontgiften is moerasspirea toegevoegd vanwege zijn uitstekende drainerende en adstringerende eigenschappen. Bovendien bevat deze waardevolle plant beschermende flavonoïden en vitamine C.
