Deze 29 Grapes is een echte volle en krachtige Reserve Port. Met deze port wil port huis Quinta do Portal vooral een port maken die geschikt is als after diner port. Maar laten we even stil staat bij de lange geschiedenis van Quinta do Portal. De familie Portal is eigenaar van wel 95 hectare aan wijngaarden en heeft verschillende zogezegde Quintas. In ieder gebied van de Douro Valley staat een Quinta waar de druiven worden verbouwd die het best passen bij het stukje langschap. De namen van de verschillende Quintas zijn Quinta da Abelheira, Quinta do Confradeiro, Quinta dos Muros, en Quinta do Portal. Het grote wijnhuis en de lange en grote kelders liggen vlakbij het plaatsje Pinhão, het hart van het portgebied. Omdat Portal alle druiven zelf verbouwd kunnen ze de wijngaarden helemaal naar hun eigen hand zetten en dat proeven we terug in de zuivere stijl van Portal. Ook deze Portal 29 Grapes Reserve Port wordt gemaakt van de lokale druiven rassen uit het Douro gebied. De druiven genieten van een geweldig leef klimaat met veel zonneschijn en verkoeling van de wind. Dit draagt bij aan een fantastische oogst die helemaal met de hand wordt binnen gehaald. De basis voor deze Portal 29 Grapes zijn jonge port wijnen die vijf tot zes jaar zijn gerijpt op port pipes. Dat zijn authentieke houten vaten waarop de port rijpt. Onder leiding van wijnmaker Paulo Coutinho en meester blender Jeremy Bull wordt deze port samengesteld met nog een kleine toevoeging oudere port wijnen. Het resultaat, een volle en krachtige port met zeer veel diepgang.Vol en zeer krachtig deze Portal 29 Grapes Reserve Port
In het glas kleurt hij prachtig taan kleurig met een bruine rand. Onze zintuigen zijn geprikkeld en met onze neus boven het glas ruiken we indrukken van lang gedroogd rood fruit met daarbij nuances van rozijnen, koffie dik en wat kruiden. De smaak is erg verfijnd met een diepe en krachtige smaak. Mooie indrukken op de tong van rijp rood fruit met daarbij lichte kruiden en een toon van pure chocolade. Nedra Glover Tawwab is a New York Times bestselling author, a licensed therapist, and a sought-after relationship expert. This book is a therapeutic and educational tool that addresses how to consciously change behaviors you’d rather not have in relationships, specifically, around your family. For those of us who have delved into the self-help book world, this is an in-depth, thorough refresher, focusing on family dynamics.
Nedra’s core belief is that relationships contribute to mental health. They can cause you pain or they heal you. She focuses on taking your relationships seriously and teaches the art of having tough but intentional conversations to create positive change. OR you’ll learn how to sever ties when the relationship is unmanageable.
None is more influential than the formative years we’ve had with our family of origin. A lot of people lament that not everything is about the family, but yup, so often it’s true. In childhood, most likely we weren’t allowed to be ourselves, so our true selves started to develop when becoming an adult. Like a butterfly using its colossal strength to break out of its chrysalis, we too must use our emotional colossal strength to break out of our childhood mold in order to fly. We are able to have relationships with family on our terms.

Insightful and Compassionate.
Format: Hardcover
I really love Nedra Glover Tawwab's work. I started with "Set Boundaries, Find Peace" and that opened the gateway to a broader and more helpful healing journey for me. This book, "Drama Fee" was just an evolutionary step in her series and a more in depth dealing with family relationships. The different perspectives for each chapter on how the concept can be applied was/is helpful as it often feels like books of this nature are only telling the black or white way to focus on a relationship. I felt seen and heard that though my familial relationships are unique there are commonalities and in turn ways to approach healing, reconciliation (with oneself and with family), understanding and compassion, to a achieve drama free relationships. As humans we are bread for connection and I appreciate Nedra Glover Tawwab's help in navigating them.
