Met Hoekpijlers, een bundel die draait om de vragen ‘wat te doen?’ en ‘hoe te leven?’, richt de Belgisch-Franse dichter zich rechtstreeks tot de lezer en reikt hij deze op scherpe, snedige toon zijn levensregels aan. Vanaf de eerste zin roept hij de lezer op om zich al dagdromend aan te gorden voor de strijd, om de eigen fouten en zwakheden te omhelzen, om gemeenplaatsen te schuwen en te streven naar onthechting en zelfkennis. Hoekpijlers is een vademecum voor troebele tijden, een antidotum tegen een door roddel en stemmingmakerij beheerste wereld. Henri Michaux, geboren op 24 mei 1899 in Namen, opgegroeid in Brussel, monsterde in 1920 aan als matroos op de grote vaart. Hij begon te schrijven nadat hij Lautréamont had ontdekt. Zijn eerste teksten verschenen in de vroege jaren twintig in het avant-gardetijdschrift Le Disque vert. In 1924 verhuisde hij naar Parijs en raakte bevriend met de dichter Jules Supervielle. Tussen 1927 tot 1937 maakte hij reizen door Azië en Zuid-Amerika, in die periode begon hij ook te tekenen en te schilderen. Als dichter en schrijver beproefde hij verschillende genres, waaronder aforismen, sprookjes, reisjournaals en verslagen van experimenten met hallucinogene middelen. In 1955 nam hij de Franse nationaliteit aan. Hij stierf op 19 oktober 1984 in Parijs.

Works well at removing grime
My mother-in-law convinced me to start using the Dawn version of this, which has been a game-changer with the dishes. When I saw this product for less money, I decided to try it and it works just as well. Smells nice, cute on the counter, and cuts through the toughest of grease and grime.

Smells Delicious
Love this stuff. It works great and smells delicious. I love the dual mode sprayer. It's a little pricey initially, but the bottles can be refilled which lessens the cost in the long run.

This is the first time buying this brand or scent. Instant love. I'm actually pretty sensitive to perfumes, but this particular scent is a soft, gentle lemon. My husband was hugging me and said "mmm what's that?" "Oh just some new lemon hand creme".."mmmm lemon good!". So it passed the husband's test! I love the scent,nbut quality of this creme is exceptional. Shea butter makes this creamy and smooth
