Job van Rijen is een veelbelovende Brabantse illustrator. Je herkent zijn werk aan zijn gedurfde, funky en kleurrijke stijl. Hij haalt inspiratie uit muziek en fantasy, waarbij hij abstracte ideeën omzet in opvallende, surrealistische designs. Job studeert aan de Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

OSEES
De hoeveelheid bands, platen en producties die John Dwyer op zijn kerfstok heeft staan neemt mythische vormen aan. Absolute paradepaard is en blijft toch wel 'zijn' Thee Oh Sees, inmiddels geschreven als OSEES. Na vele wisselingen in de formatie heeft Dwyer nu al een paar jaar de winnende samenstelling gevonden: Dan Rincon en Paul Quattrone als stuwende en synchroon lopend drumduo, Tim Hellman op bas, Tomas Dolas op toetsen en de manische John op gitaar en synths. 

Sinds de oprichting in 1997 in San Francisco worden er meer dan dertig albums uitgebracht en vinden er ontelbare tours plaats die net zo goed aftandse kraakpanden als de grootste festivals aandoen. In 2024 kwam het meest recente wapenfeit 'SORC 80' uit. Paradiso heeft geluk, want groter dan onze zaal wil de band niet gaan: "Playing for venues over 1.500 capacity is like having sex with two condoms on," - aldus Dwyer.

American sizing!

These are great t-shirts and fantastic quality for the price. I bought them for my sons. The cotton is thick and nice-looking, the ivory colour is beautiful and it looks a lot more expensive than it is. I bought one for my eldest son and then bought two more (one for each son). The first one I bought has been getting a lot of wear for about three months. I wash it in the machine and line dry it because we line dry everything where we live. It has held up beautifully, has not shrunk, pilled or changed in any way. The only thing, and it is not a bad thing, per se, is that this is REAL American sizing. We are all tall with broad shoulders, and my eldest is a bit heavy. (Around 1m84 and 105 kg, I'm feeling too lazy to convert it online, but probably in the area of 6'1" or 2" and over 200 pounds.) So I ordered 2XL, which is what he wears in most inexpensive brands we get here. But, although he has been wearing it, as he needed cool-weather clothes, it is long in the sleeves and body and also wide. So I ordered him a second one in XL and he will set the XXL aside until he needs it, or gains weight. I would definitely recommend sizing down from what you usually order. But these are great! The Amazon interface seems to be prompting me to address functionality and cut. The cut is very good, although both large and long. I don't really know what they mean by functionality. It's a t-shirt, not ski wear or running shoes! The cotton fabric is nice and thick and soft. It's comfortable. It definitely works, as a garment. Don't know what else to say! (Just to let you know, I am a real human ordering from overseas. I am not paid or even receiving merchandise in return for this review, although I wouldn't say no if they offered.)
