Dit crankstel is voorzien van X-Range-ontwikkelingstechnologie voor een constantere progressie over het hele ontwikkelingsbereik, zodat je altijd in de juiste versnelling zit. De voorste kettingbladen zijn scherp en precies, voor een comfortabele rit.
De Rival AXS wordt gebruikt met de Sram Dub trapas. Deze standaard heeft het voordeel dat hij dankzij het universele systeem aan vrijwel alle frames kan worden aangepast, zodat je je crankstel niet tegelijk met je fiets hoeft te vervangen.
