Biologisch Australische wijnen van d’Arenberg

Het Australische wijnbedrijf d’Arenberg is in het jaar 1912 opgericht in het Zuid-Australische wijnrijke gebied McLaren Vale. Hoewel de meeste druiven voor het maken van de d’Arenberg-wijnen afkomstig zijn uit deze regio, zijn er ook enkele vruchten afkomstig van de wijngaarden in de gebieden Adelaide Hills en het schiereiland Fleurieu. Alle wijngaarden waar druiven vandaan komen voor de wijnen van dit merk zijn geclassificeerd als biologisch en biodynamisch gecertificeerd. Lage opbrengsten, sterke wortelsystemen en behoud van de natuurlijke kwaliteit van de bodem zijn de belangrijkste milieuvriendelijke principes die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de natuurlijke zuurgraad en geconcentreerde smaken van de hier geteelde vruchten. De druiven worden zeer zorgvuldig geoogst om de hoge kwaliteit van d’Arenberg te kunnen garanderen. De druiven worden na de oogst voorzicht geplet en overgebracht naar open fermentoren, waar de Viognier en Shiraz samen worden vergist. Na het met de voet persen worden het mengsel overgebracht naar oude Franse en Amerikaanse eikenhouten vaten om de gisting te voltooien en te rijpen.

De intense aroma’s van d'Arenberg The Laughing Magpie

The Luaghing Magpie kleurt donker in het glas met een levendige paarse tint. Hij is complex en droog. De neus is bijzonder intens, met peperige kruiden, hints van geurige bloem- en parfumaroma's, plus nectarines, abrikozen, gember en kruiden uit het kleine pakketje Viognier waarmee de Shiraz wordt vergist. In de mond is de Shiraz dominanter. Er zijn wat zoetere fruitkarakters zoals bramen en bosbessen. De smaak is rijk en genereus en zachte zijdezachte tannines.

Shasta is my smallest. Six in December (2025) along with her brother. She’s 100 lbs and outside, completely ball driven see last picture. Don’t let the size (2.5”) of these Chuck-It balls deter you. If your larger Breed dog has any orthopedic issues, has already torn their ACL etc, one has arthritis but wants to play. This size is perfect! Shazzy was born with several ortho issues. I don’t throw balls distance but right to her. This size and lighter weight assure even when Shazzy is spazzy w excitement, she’ll catch the ball mid air. The green balls are softer, and glow in the dark. In summer we can play well past dusk and I can see them! Her personality shows in the pictures. Playing ball is part of her. These balls are just perfect for her situation. Somehow they disappear, she loves making baskets, puts them in my tractor bucket, or my gardening bucket..then get put in burn pile, trash etc. I keep replacing them because she’d look day and night if we actually ran out!! 🙏✝️👍🏼👍🏼

Okay little puppy pee plate. But some diy may be required.

This little pup pee station is pretty good. With a little caveat. There's some pros & cons. Pros: The back splash wall is very helpful. Keeping pee from going off the plate. But only as long as the pup aims that way. Which is why the little upright tube thing is helpful. I suggest placing it in the middle as close to the back wall as possible. Which leads to another pro. The little stick thing. It's hollow. A trick to help encourage your pup to use this is to place something your pup has peed on inside of that hollow tube. Or, you can see a bit on some cotton swabs & put them in there. The scent encourages your pup to pee there. Another pro is that a medium size pee pad will go over the edges of the plate. You can either fold the pad in, or leave it overhanging to catch stray shots. Cons: It is a little small. So this will only work for the smallest of pups. Another huge con is the grate on top. It allows pee to go through to the pad. But, most pups will refuse to step on this thing. So you'll likely have to get some of that draining fake grass to place on top of it. So, in the end, it's functional, but you'll likely have to do some diy to get it there.

Good quality and helpful even if your dog doesn’t use it yet

Still hoping my dog will decide to use this, but even if not, it’s serving a useful purpose. I keep pee pads down for accidents, and I started by placing this on top to encourage my dog to use it instead. Right now, I have it next to our end table to protect it, and it fits perfectly there. I may try putting a pad on top to help with the transition. The quality feels decent for the price—the plastic is thick enough, looks nice, and the top stays in place without being difficult to remove. It’s practical, easy to clean, and works well for what I needed.
