Wat is Chaga?

Chaga wordt vaak geen paddenstoel genoemd, maar een schorsachtige zwam. Hij groeit langzaam en neemt jarenlang voedingsstoffen op uit zijn omgeving. Dit maakt Chaga uniek in karakter  Chaga is een langzaam groeiende zwam die zich jarenlang ontwikkelt op berkenbomen. In die tijd neemt hij voedingsstoffen op uit de boom en zijn omgeving. Dat geeft Chaga zijn kenmerkende diepe kleur en unieke smaak: vol, licht bitter en aards.

Toepassingen van Chaga granulaat

Dankzij de grove structuur is dit granulaat ideaal voor verschillende bereidingen:

  • Chaga-thee
    Laat het granulaat langdurig trekken in heet (niet kokend) water voor een diepe, volle infusie.

  • Lang getrokken extracten (Decocten)
    Perfect voor wie Chaga traditioneel wil bereiden door het meerdere uren zachtjes te laten trekken.

  • Combinaties met kruiden en andere paddenstoelen
    Goed te mengen met bijvoorbeeld gember, kaneel of andere functionele paddenstoelen.

Het granulaat kan meerdere keren worden gebruikt totdat de kleur en smaak vervagen.
